Detox 2019 - Week 3 Post 2

Your daily dose of vegetables
Lets talk about vegetables today. Vegetables and fruits should form the backbone of your food intake because they are high in water. Our body is 60 to 70% water. Water is needed to transport all nutrients in the body and carry toxins out. In fact, water is needed for every single function of the body. So after including fruits we now move to incorporating more vegetables in our diet.
Nature cure says have 50% fruits and 35% vegetables. i.e almost 80 to 85% of our diet should consist of fruits and vegetables preferably in raw form.
Why raw? Because eating raw retains nutrients, enzymes, anti-oxidants and keeps the natural water in them intact. Next best is to steam them.
You can read more about the power of raw foods in this article on raw foods.
