Detox 2019 - Week 2, Post 1

Summary of the previous week.

  1. Pack up all processed food at home and stow it away.
  2. Tea/coffee is acidic and increases toxicity in the body. They are heavy to digest. This habit should be stopped as they impede absorption of nutrients coming from other foods.
  3. Shift to uncooked breakfast. Seasonal. Juicy fruits make the best breakfast.

So till 12:00 p.m when the body is in elimination mode, best to feed it easy to digest foods which is fruits. Even better to not eat anything if you don’t feel hungry.

A gap of 14 to 16 hours between previous night’s dinner and breakfast is excellent. This gives the body enough time to finish the elimination of previous day’s wastes. This is a form of intermittent fasting. Then when hunger is felt, the body is ready for the breakfast of fruits. So if you finish dinner by 8:00, have breakfast by 10:00 a.m when hunger is felt.

As has been mentioned before, please check with your doctor before attempting intermittent fasting. Listen to your body and make your own decisions.
