Festive celebrations can’t be complete without family gatherings, parties, or enjoying with friends & neighbors. During the COVID-19 era festivities have become even more important for keeping up the good mood and normalcy of life.
However, you can’t go about the celebrations without being watchful of your and your family’s health. Now that the festive season is in full swing, we have encapsulated the list of measures you should take while being at various gatherings:
Maintain Social Distancing - Even though festivals are all about getting together and enjoying with your loved ones, follow social distancing for your & your family’s safety. Ideally, you should keep a distance of 6 feet from anyone in a public place.
Befriend the Mask - You wouldn’t want to panic later if the person sitting next to you sneezes or coughs! So, don’t avoid mask even while inside a room with known people. Keep a bunch of masks handy to distribute at the party.
Keep Hand Sanitizer Away from Fire: Don’t use hand sanitizer before lighting diyas or around a fire in any way. It is highly inflammable and can cause fire accidents. Instead of carrying around the hand sanitizer, carry paper soap & water.
Limited Number of Guests: Don’t go overboard with inviting too many people. Also, advise your friends to limit the number of people at a house party.
Kids’ Safety: Speak to your kids beforehand about social distancing and other safety measures.
Outdoor Venue: Indoor gatherings with poor ventilation pose a greater risk of spreading infection & germs. Try hosting festive parties at an outdoor location.
Indoor Venue: For indoor gatherings keep the windows and doors open for better ventilation.
Disinfect Surfaces: Clean & disinfect frequently touched surfaces at a gathering place. Help your host or request your guests to help you with this chore.
Wash Hands Often: Encourage everyone to wash their hands before touching any food or drinks. Follow the 30-second hand wash rule at all times.
Avoid Touching Face, Eyes & Nose after being in contact with any kind of surface.
Stay safe and enjoy the festivities!
