Having dandruff around the year and hair fall. What to do

Hi sneha.. dandruff many be due due many reasons like it's caused if u have a dry skin or if u are not maintaining a healthy scalp... 
Make sure you oil regularly and don't take head bath without oiling your hair
Taking headbath daily is also to be avoided
You can apply alovera gel for your scalp half an hour before bath
Apply lemon juice half an hour to one hour before bath
Avoid chemical shampoos and go for shikakai... 
Focus on your internal cleansing also

If you are talking about the best home remedy to combat the issue. Curd and lemon is your answer.

Take one cup of curd with one tablespoon of lemon. Add one spoon of honey which will give you lustre.

This is the best remedy which will help you to fight dandruff.

Hello Sneha,

Dandruff is the white scaly substances that are present on the scalp, however, in severe cases, they may also be present on the hairs of eyelashes and around the ears. Dandruff indicates that toxins are also present inside the body. 

Possible causes for dandruff

Dandruff may result from:

  •  unhygienic conditions.
  • any infection like bacterial infections or fungal infections. 
  • improper lifestyle.
  • using chemical-based products, etc.

Local application 
Apply onion juice on your scalp. Leave it for 20 minutes and then wash your hair.

  • Take neem leaves and make a paste. Apply this on your hair. Leave it for 30minutes and then wash your hair. This will help to fight against local infections. 
  • Maintain personal hygiene. 
  • Don't share your towel, soaps, clothes with anyone.

Diet

  • Drink 2 to 3 glasses of warm water on an empty stomach early in the morning. This will help to eliminate the toxins out of the body. 
  • Have only plant-based natural foods. 
  • Include salads, sprouts, and nuts to your diet.
  • Drink coconut water. 
  • Have fresh, seasonal, and locally available fruits and vegetables. 
  • Use cold-pressed oil for cooking instead of refined oils.
  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day to be hydrated. 
  • Avoid refined grains. Instead, have whole grains like barley, millets, oats, etc.

Yoga

Yoga is essential for improving blood circulation.

Shirsha asana and ardha shirsha asana helps to improve the blood circulation to the roots of the hairs. So, perform shirsha asana or ardha shirsha asana in the morning. 

Do 12 sets of suryanamaskar regularly. This will help to improve the blood circulation in the whole body.

Take sunrays early in the morning. 

Sleep

Take proper sleep of at least 7-8 hours daily. Sleep early at night at around 10 pm and also wake up early in the morning at around 6 am. 

Read books before sleeping for an improved quality of sleep.

Some people will have dandruff when they apply oil, for some people it will come when they are not applying oil... Apply lemon over ur scalp..  Take oli bath twice in a week
Please avoid shampoos they won't be washed out and residues can results as an drandruff
 Avoid dairy products and go with fruits diet

Dandruff is due to improper diet/ unhealthy diet and using unnatural products like shampoo conditioners etc.
Dandruff causes itching and scratches lead to injury of hair follicles leads to hairloss.
Stress and anxiety also cause dandruff and hair loss 

  • Avoid high carbohydrates and sugar 
  • Drink more water 
  • Wash your hair regularly to remove dead skin cells. 
  • Scalp should not be dry and should not be moisture maintain neutral.
  • Avoid shampoo and start using soap nuts/ Reetha or soapnut berries. 
  • Apply coconut oil /sesame oil for prevent hairloss.
  • Apply aloe Vera lemon on the scalp helps to reduce dandruff. 
  • Practice regular exercises, yoga to prevent and reduce stress. 
  • Apply lemon juice and leave it for few minutes and rinse. Repeat daily until dandruff disappears. 
  • Take more fruits, vegetable and green leafy vegetables. 
  • Neem sesame oil /coconut oil .dry and crush neem leaves add it to the oil mix it and apply on the scalp.  Wash after 30 mins. 
  • Applying henna weekly once regularly can reduce hair fall.

Healthy hair can be achieved by cleansing yourself of all toxic deposits internally.The hair that you have is the reflection of the internal status of your body. How can you help your body cleanse internally?

I would say we must look into what things we should remove from our diet to improve our overall health quality.

Foods to be removed

1 All packaged and processed outside food-like substances.

2 Refined flour and refined oil

3 All types of stimulants like tea and coffee. If you drink alcohol then that too must be stopped.

4 All overcooked, deep-fried oily food.

5 Meat fish eggs and dairy

Foods to be included

1 Fresh locally grown seasonal fruits - 50% of daily intake

2 Fresh seasonal vegetables and greens - 35% of daily intake

3 Grains - soaked or sprouted or steamed - 10 % of daily intake

4 soaked nuts and seeds - 5% of daily intake

And understand this - it is not only the food that influences your quality of blood but many other things too matter equally.

1 Learn Pranayam and yoga for relaxing your mind, improving your flexibility and activating your lymphatic system.

2 Get good sun exposure either in the early hours of the morning or a couple of hours before sunset.

3 Get in touch with Mother Earth. Do some gardening with your hands or at least walk barefoot on sand or mud. Sit in parks or lie on the ground or lawns and relax.

4 Keep an eye on your bowel movement. See to it that your bowels are always functioning normally. Eliminate larger quantities than what you eat.

5 Rest and relax well. Sleep in the earlier part of the night and sleep through the night. Wake up before or with the sun.

6 Be well hydrated. Consume a lot of juicy fruits veggies and greens to hydrate yourself well.

7 Get your body moving, do yoga or participate in any outdoor sport, walk or do some gardening. Moving your body will support the removal of toxins and free flow of vitality

8 Be happy always. Don’t let life’s negativities to bog you down. Always be positive.

Follow these principles and as you go on eliminating toxins and discarding all damaged unhealthy tissues you will start seeing a great change in your overall health.

There are more things that you can do to improve your hair health externally.

The best hair product would be something that you could get from nature. I prepare a powder of shikakai and other things and use it as a hair wash.

Here’s the recipe :

Shikakai powder

Shikakai 1 kg

Dry amla 200 GMs

Green moong 200 GMs

Rice 200 GMs

Ritha 50 GMs

Fenugreek seeds 200 GMs

Get this ground at the flour mill and use a little, make a passer by adding water and use it every time you wash your hair.

As for conditioning I either use fresh aloe Vera gel or a decoction of hibiscus flowers.

To remove dandruff:

Dandruff is nothing but toxins being eliminated through the scalp. Keep your scalp clean by washing it regularly. But dont use any chemical based products. Instead you may massage it with sesame oil. let it soak for 30 minutes. Then rub lemon juice in your scalp and let it soak for 30 minutes again.You can use shikakai powder to wash your hair and scalp. this procedure can be done once a week till dandruff is completely removed. Coconut oil usage is also good on a regular basis.

सर पर सूती कपड़ा बाँध कर उसके ऊपर खीरा और मेहंदी या करी पत्ते का पेस्ट लगाएँ,नाभि पर खीरा का पेस्ट लगाएँ।बालों को नींबू या रीठा से साफ़ करें।कपूर और नारियल तेल से मालिश करें।

Hi Sneha how old are you what kind of patches are these? What colour are they? Are they like eczema?
Do you realise that skin is also one of the excretory organs that the body has?
You will need to go through a lifestyle change drastically to heal from these issues. Skin is one of the largest organs in the body and hence will also take time especially if the number of patches across the body is more. The very first that you have to do is remove animal products from your life forever such as dairy eggs meat fish. Remove Sugar refined salt Maida wheat barley and oats. Remove fried food sugar laden sweets et cetera from your life and replace it with healthy alternatives such as fruits vegetables and leafy greens. 

Consume more of fruits vegetables and leafy greens throughout your day and have cooked food only for dinner which is gluten-free and oil free. If the severity of itching is more consume only vegetable and fruit juices all day and that will ensure that the toxins are flushed and skin itching is reduced. Namaste Ji,

Try this homemade oil from your end and keep applying you scalp regularly. 

You will need - 1 tsp each of amla powder, methi seeds, white sesame seeds and kalonji (onion seeds), coconut oil & castor oil. Grind the methi seeds, sesame seeds and kalonji to make a fine powder.

Take about 150 ml coconut oil in a glass bottle and add the powder prepared in step 1.

Now add 2 tsp of amla powder and 2 tsp of castor oil. Mix thoroughly.

Now, cap the bottle and keep it in sunlight for seven days. Every morning keep it out in the sun, till the evening. Each day make sure to shake the bottle nicely. Sunlight helps infuse all the ingredients into the oil.

Drink green leafy vegetable juice, dates nuts, sprouts. Curry leaf juice or make a powder of it and morning add one spoon of curry leaf powder in a glass of warm water and drink it empty stomach for additional benefits.

Sleep 8 to 10hrs at night without any disturbance. Avoid seeing mobile and watching tv for long hours at night.
