You will have to work on, long term, improving your immunity. That’s the only way diseases around you don’t affect you. And that happens with correct diet and lifestyle. Include more raw foods in your family routine. A sure shot way to do this is increase fruits intake by all dramatically.  Children have a natural liking for fruits, so make sure they have ample quantities in morning and evening snack (not one or two, but much more!) No dairy. Dairy really is very heavy in digesting, and long term may not be as beneficial as you think. So inform yourself more about dairy, and regulate its intake.  We surely don’t need a different species’ milk, every single day in form of shakes, milk, paneer, curd. Reduce your intake of refined sugar. Switch to gur, jaggery, khand, or honey. No packaged foods. You will be surprised how much processed food goes into a family’s monthly intake. Increase your fruits and vegetables intake, and reduce your packaged and processed etc.

Germs are attracted where there are toxins to feed on. If you keep a bowl of rice on the table and not throw it , it rots and germs come to eat it’s natural food. We can’t blame them. We have zillions of them around us. Medical community has named only a fraction of them. If we have a detoxed body, we catch fever from someone else bcoz it finds an ideal condition inside the other person too. If you notice, sometimes not everyone gets it. It depends on how much vital force they have to chase off the invaders coming to eat it. Ensuring that we lead a natural lifestyle with removing animal products, eating more fruits in the morning, snacking on raw, exercising the body and keeping a healthy mind keeps our overall health also fine. We can’t blame the virus, trust me on this 😊. It’s doing is job. We are the ones inciting trouble conditions that are iideal for its living.

Hi during this time, you could focus on your boy’s rest and sleep.  When body sleeps and rests, it can repair and build better. So make sure you are doing 12 hours of light and 12 of darkness for him. Evening for all you you, do a winding down; dim light, no tv, may be some good quality family time, which helps you all to energise and ensure you have a relaxed state of rest.  You will be surprised how this balance, can dramatically improve our immunity.

Hi as pointed in earlier answers, the best way to increase immunity and sustain health is increasing our raw food intake proportion.  For kids and adults alike. This may need some re-alignment of food habits at home.

For your son, don’t worry if he catches a fever; he may actually have strongest body response and manage to avoid it.  In any case, keep his fruits, salads, sprouts, nuts very high and regulate the white poisons, ie refined sugar, refined oil, dairy milk, maida etc.  Regulate grains intake too, instead of just feeding him wheat in various forms (pasta, roti, parantha, dalia etc.) increase the variety and give some more easily digesting millets.

Firstly don't worry about your four year old, he/she has the best immunity amongst all. Secondly viral incubates only in conducive environment. If you have taken medication for suppression of symptoms, the body will respond with more severe symptoms.

Cold, cough and bad throat is sign of body's action of elimination of toxins. Best is to help body by fasting or providing food to help our body. Best is to give fruits only. Herbs like ginger act as catalyst. You must aim to increase fruits and vegetables in your family’s health by great standards.  For vegetables, they are best had as raw (in salads), steamed or cooked lightly without oil If there is fever, it is a good response of body. The sweating during fever is body’s work to eliminate the toxins. If very high fever and uncomfortable then do sponging Totally abstaining from cooked foods really helps.

Adequate water and sunlight will also help.

Whenever we suffer from viral or cold, the first signal that body exhibits is tastelessness. This is a signal for NO cooked food required. So listen to your body.
