I am 64. Is walking in morning good for remaining fit? I walk 5 km daily.

Walking might be simplest exercise with the highest health benefit. If one could walk about 30 minutes on a daily basis ut could benefit cardiovascular health, strengthen bones, reduce body fat and boost muscle power and endurance. It could prevent the body from the risk of various health ailments. This form of exercise is simple and doesn’t need any type of equipment or a building to practice it.

Various research studies have indicated on the health benefits and they have indicated that cardiovascular fitness and endurance levels have increased by walking. It has also shown that this exercise if done on a regular basis could prevent our body from various heart ailments, increase bone strength, range of movements and also prevent some endocrinal conditions like diabetes.

Some Health benefits of walking

You carry your own body weight when you walk. This is known as weight-bearing exercise. Some of the benefits include:

  • Increases cardiovascular and pulmonary (heart and lung) fitness
  •  Reduces the risk of heart disease and strokes
  • Improves management of conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), high cholesterol, joint and muscular pain or stiffness, and diabetes
  • Strengthens bones and improves balance
  • Increases muscle strength and endurance
  • Reduces body fat.
  • Also, it could increase the range of movements of lower extremities.

NOTE – Care to be taken that you walk in a safe and healthy environment. Try to avoid pollution (smog) and also place where vehicular traffic is least. Try to walk on a flat surface

Walking on pebbles on barefoot which is immersed in feet deep water is one of the recommended treatments in most naturopathic hospitals across the country.

Also, barefoot walking on lawns is also recommended in Naturopathy and recommended in naturopathic hospitals across the country

Walking is always good. Movement is must for proper metabolism. Age is not at all a hinderance. The only thing you ned to keeo in mind is dont force yourself to walk. walk as long as and as much as you enjoy. Only thing you can keep in mind is

1 It is best to walk barefoot on soil or grass.

2 It is always good to walk when the sun is just warm, just with the sunrise or just before sun set.

3 If You walk on a hard surface its good to use shoes, but the front part should be broad enough to let the toes move freely.

Dear health aspirant, It is quite natural to walk, in fact, it is basic to our health, it is only some last  few decades that we think of morning walk as a tool to remain  fit as a fiddle, or agile, this thinking is the outcome of modern living where walking is  construed as a burden, younger generation is loathe to the idea of  walking, The  present mode of  commuting to and from one place to another is by  fast moving vehicles. The man of yesteryear would  think of nothing by  traversing any  length of  distance by foot. Now morning walk is looked upon as a means of keeping oneself fighting fit.
   

Since you are in sixties, a  little caution is required to be observed in that, that you  must  at once  Stop  consuming devitalising, enervating food less foods the likes of tea, coffee cola, sugar refined, processed, fried  animal food, and  start  living on  living, nutritious fruits vegetables raw and cooked, coconuts in accordance with law of Vital Economy, ere long your  early morning walk will present you with a  refreshing, enjoyable experience

हेलो,

दौड़ लगाना, तेज़ चलना अच्छा है पर साथ में कुछ आसन प्राणायाम ज़रूरी है। स्वस्थ रहने के लिए आहार शुद्धि भी ज़रूरी है।

आकाश तत्व - एक खाने से दुसरे खाने के बीच में अंतराल (gap) रखें।

फल के बाद 3 घंटे, सलाद के बाद 5 घंटे, और पके हुए खाने के बाद 12 घंटे का (gap) रखें।

वायु तत्व - प्राणायाम करें, आसन करें। दौड़ लगाएँ।

अग्नि - सूर्य की रोशनी लें।

जल - अलग अलग तरीक़े का स्नान करें। मेरुदंड स्नान, हिप बाथ, गीले कपड़े की पट्टी से पेट की गले और सर की 20 मिनट के लिए सेक लगाए। स्पर्श थरेपी करें। मालिश के ज़रिए भी कर सकते है। नारियल तेल से

घड़ी की सीधी दिशा (clockwise) में और घड़ी की उलटी दिशा (anti clockwise)में मालिश करें। नरम हाथों से बिल्कुल भी प्रेशर नहीं दें।

पृथ्वी - फल + सूखे फल नाश्ते में और दोपहर के खाने में सलाद + नट्स बिना नमक के और  एक बार पका हुआ खाना रात को 7 बजे से पहले लें।

सेंधा नमक केवल एक बार पके हुए खाने में लें। जानवरों से उपलब्ध होने वाले भोजन वर्जित हैं।

तेल, मसाला, और गेहूँ से परहेज़ करेंगे तो अच्छा होगा। चीनी के जगह गुड़ लें।

एक नियम हमेशा याद रखें ठोस(solid) खाने को चबा कर तरल (liquid) बना कर खाएँ। तरल  को मुँह में घूँट घूँट पीएँ। खाना ज़मीन पर बैठ कर खाएँ। खाते वक़्त ना तो बात करें और ना ही TV और mobile को देखें।ठोस  भोजन के तुरंत बाद या बीच बीच में जूस या पानी ना लें। भोजन हो जाने के एक घंटे बाद तरल पदार्थ  ले सकते हैं।

हफ़्ते में एक दिन उपवास करें। शाम तक केवल पानी लें, प्यास लगे तो ही पीएँ। शाम 5 बजे नारियल पानी और रात 8 बजे सलाद लें।

Absolutely, please continue your morning walking habit.

However to maintain a better lifestyle, walk alone won’t help.

I suggest the following tips for a healthy life

  • You will need to remove all kinds of animal products from your life containing dairy eggs meat fish packaged foods, Foods deep-fried sugary sweets et cetera. 
  • Focus on eating more fruit vegetables and leafy greens in all forms such as juices salads and whole throughout the day.
  • Consume cooked food only for dinner. 
  • Avoid bakery foods and maida-based products.
  • cook without oil. You can google oil free cooking which is also available on Wellcure . 
  • Continue walking and do some basic exercises to move all the body parts.
  •  Do not medicate at any cost when body eliminates naturally through its orifices . 
  • Switch to a complete juice diet for the entire day if the severity is more this will ensure that the body flushes all the toxins and then gives you the relief over a period of time your body will clear all the toxins and you will not be sick anymore. 
  • Excess consumption of animal products like dairy eggs fish meat will continue to keep people sick. Google on the cruelty in the dairy industry to understand the ethical aspects of dairy industry and how many cows suffer on a daily basis to give you a cup of coffee , understanding the ethical aspects of consumption of animal products will not only save the animals, the planet and also give you a great healthy life.
  • Learn to live in gratitude, serve the community, live a life of compassion and spread unconditional love to people around you, learn to seek happiness from within and do not expect happiness from outside.

 64 वर्ष के उम्र के व्यक्ति को प्रतिदिन कम से कम 8000 कदम (2 किलोमीटर) प्रातः काल नंगे पांव हरे घास पर प्रसन्न  चित्त होकर चलना चाहिए, अधिकतम आप 10000 कदम( 2.5 किलोमीटर)चल सकते हैं , यह आपके स्वास्थ्य के लिए श्रेयस्कर होगा।
