Cold and cough are also methods of eliminations from the body. It’s body’s natural response to handle inflammation that was triggered in response to toxaemia/acidity. There are many factors that can lead to breathing issues. It could be stress-based, it could be based on what you inhale that will inflammate the bronchial passage, it could be due to nerve inflammations due to a bad lifestyle, It could also be due to viral activity. Inhalers can help ease symptoms temporarily, but if you are suffering from chronic asthma and use your inhaler a lot, you may become immune to the steroids at some point. 

See many of these irritants can get accumulated in the lungs and can cling to your bronchial walls and go up and down as you breathe irritating the bronchial tubes. This over time causes inflammation of the lungs. Mucus is one of the bodies protective mechanisms to trap viruses and other irritants that are entering the body. However, in places where the mucus must not be present if you can start accumulating, it can be very hard for the internal organs like the lungs to breathe. We eliminate healthy mucus when we have cold and cough this is because that is bodies natural response to eliminating the virus and accumulation in the body. However, mucus starts getting excessively produced in the internal organs such as the gut,  the intestinal walls the lungs where it is unnecessary. If you eat foods that produce excess mucus. Excess mucus putrifies and hardens overtime and refuses to leave the body in all the attempts that the body makes. Such is the time when you will have also have breathing issues. The major root causes of all your problems is having excess animal foods such as dairy, eggs, meat, fish. So the elimination of these foods it’s self will ensure that the body makes way to clean itself. Secondly, other foods that contribute to such issues are sugar, excess jaggery, the food with excess spices. Medicines play a key role in ensuring that more toxins accumulate because of the chemicals in the medicines.  Medicines are also alien to the body and the effort of suppression of the mucus from coming out leads to further deterioration and worsens the breathing issues and other respiratory issues.

The only way to permanently get relief from these issues is to follow a whole food plant-based lifestyle with each food coming only from plants. Gluten here is an exception that you will have to make although  it comes from plants we will still have to remove it from our diet. Gluten is present in wheat, maida, barley, oats and all the Rawa that is made from wheat. Do not attempt to eat any of the bakery products which are loaded with transfat. Oil and any greasy foods must be absolutely removed from the diet. 

Once you feel better join a yoga class and learn yoga and pranayama and practitioners.

Follow this :-

Morning on empty stomach 

- 500ml filtered / ash gourd juice / cucumber juice 

- Followed by Green juice or fruit /  any watery vegetable like ashgourd / cucumber / ridge gourd / bottle gourd / carrot / beet with ginger and lime filtered  

- More hunger - tender coconut water or more pure  juice 

Afternoon from 12 :-  

- A bowl of fruits - don’t mix melons and other fruits. Eat melons alone. Eat citrus alone 

- Followed by a bowl of veg salad if needed or more fruits are fine.

- Dinner 2-3 hrs before sleep with Gluten free - millets rice quinoa , oilfree unpolished grains or dals 30% and 70% veggies

- Include some exercises that involve moving all your parts (neck, shoulder, elbows, wrist, hip bending twisting, squats, knees, ankles). Join a yoga or gym and sweat out. We need to eliminate via skin also 

- See if u can go to the morning sun for sometime in a day 30 mins atleast. It’s v imp for healing 

- Ensure that you are deep asleep between 10-2 which is when the body needs deep sleep. 

- Place a wet cloth on your tummy for 30 mins daily if time permits to improve the blood circulation in the gut and heal faster 

What to Avoid :- 

- Avoid refined oils, fried food, packaged ready to eat foods, dairy in any form including ghee, refined salt and sugar, gluten, refined oils, cooking with oil, medicines

- Avoid mental stress by not thinking about things you cannot control. Present is inevitable. Future can be planned. Stay happy. Happiness is only inside yourself. कारण - पाचन क्रिया का स्वस्थ ना होने से आँत में प्रदाह (inflammation) होता और वह फेफड़ों में संक्रमण पैदा करता है। शरीर में मौजूद मिनरल दूषित होकर कफ में परिवर्तित होते जाते हैं और ऑक्सिजन की मात्रा में आती है।

समाधान - अनुलोम विलोम, आंतरिक कुंभक और बाह्य कुंभक करें। सर्वांगआसन और सूर्य नमस्कार 5 बार करें। दुध या दुध से बना कोई चीज़ ना लें। नीम के पत्ते का और खीरा पेस्ट अपने पेट पर रखें। 20मिनट तक रख कर साफ़ कर लें।

शरीर को यह ज्ञान है कि ख़ुद को स्वस्थ कैसे रखना है। हम इस बात से अनभिज्ञ हैं। जब हमारी प्राणशक्ति हमें ऊर्जा दे रही होती है तो वह स्वास्थ्य की स्थिति है। जब हमारी प्राण शक्ति हमारे शरीर के अंदर विषाणुओं (toxic) को साफ़ ककिसी प्राकृतिक चिकित्सक के देख रेख में टोना लें। जिससे आँत की प्रदाह को शांत किया जा सके। एनिमा किट मँगा लें। यह किट ऑनलाइन मिल जाएगा। इससे 200ml पानी गुदाद्वार से अंदर डालें और प्रेशर आने पर मल त्याग करें। ऐसा दिन में दो बार करना है अगले 21 दिनों के लिए। ये करना है ताकि शरीर में मोजुद विषाणु निष्कासित हो जाये। इसके बाद हफ़्ते में केवल एक बार लेना है उपवास के अगले दिन। टोना का फ़ायदा तभी होगा जब आहार शुद्धि करेंगे।

आकाश, वायु, अग्नि, जल, पृथ्वी ये पाँच तत्व आपके शरीर में रोज़ खुराक की तरह जाना चाहिए।

पृथ्वी और शरीर का बनावट एक जैसा 70% पानी से भरा हुआ। पानी जो कि फल, सब्ज़ी से मिलता है।

1 आकाश तत्व- एक खाने से दूसरे खाने के बीच में विराम दें। रोज़ाना 15 घंटे का उपवास करें जैसे रात का भोजन 7 बजे तक कर लिया और सुबह का नाश्ता 9 बजे लें।

2 वायु तत्व- लंबा गहरा स्वाँस अंदर भरें और रुकें फिर पूरे तरीक़े से स्वाँस को ख़ाली करें रुकें फिर स्वाँस अंदर भरें ये एक चक्र हुआ। ऐसे 10 चक्र एक टाइम पर करना है। ये दिन में चार बार करें।I

सूर्य नमस्कार 

3 अग्नि तत्व- सूरर्य उदय के एक घंटे बाद या सूर्य अस्त के एक घंटे पहले का धूप शरीर को ज़रूर लगाएँ। सर और आँख को किसी सूती कपड़े से ढक कर। जब भी लेंटे अपना दायाँ भाग ऊपर करके लेटें ताकि आपकी सूर्य नाड़ी सक्रिय रहे।

4 जल तत्व- खाना खाने से एक घंटे पहले नाभि के ऊपर गीला सूती कपड़ा लपेट कर रखें और खाना के 2 घंटे बाद भी ऐसा करना है।

मेरुदंड स्नान के लिए अगर टब ना हो तो एक मोटा तौलिया गीला कर लें बिना निचोरे उसको बिछा लें और अपने मेरुदंड को उस स्थान पर रखें।

मेरुदंड (स्पाइन) सीधा करके बैठें। हमेशा इस बात ध्यान रखें और हफ़्ते में 3 दिन मेरुदंड का स्नान करें। 

5 पृथ्वी- सब्ज़ी, सलाद, फल, मेवे, आपका मुख्य आहार होगा। आप सुबह सफ़ेद पेठे 20ग्राम पीस कर 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। 2 घंटे बाद फल नाश्ते में लेना है।

दोपहर में 12 बजे फिर से इसीI जूस को लें। इसके एक घंटे बाद खाना खाएँ।शाम को 5 बजे सफ़ेद पेठे (ashguard) 20 ग्राम पीस कर 100 ml पानी मिला। 2घंटे तक कुछ ना लें। रात के सलाद में हरे पत्तेदार सब्ज़ी को डालें। कच्चा पपीता 50 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। कभी सीताफल ( yellow pumpkin)50 ग्राम ऐसे ही डालें। कभी सफ़ेद पेठा (ashgurad) 30 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। ऐसे ही ज़ूकीनी 50 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। इसी प्रकार हरा गोभी, बंद गोभी, गाजर, चुकन्दर भी कद्दूकस करके डालें। हर दिन मुख्य सब्ज़ी किसी एक की मात्रा अधिक बाँकि सब थोड़ा थोड़ा डालें। ताज़ा नारियल पीस कर मिलाएँ। कभी काजू बादाम अखरोट मूँगफली भिगोए हुए पीस कर मिलाएँ। 

लाल, हरा, पीला शिमला मिर्च 1/4 हिस्सा हर एक का मिलाएँ। इसे बिना नमक के खाएँ। नमक सेंधा ही प्रयोग करें। नमक की मात्रा दोपहर के खाने में भी बहुत कम लें। सब्ज़ी पकने बाद उसमें नमक डालें। नमक पका कर या अधिक खाने से शरीर में (fluid)  की कमी हो जाती है। रात का खाना 8 बजे खाएँ।एक नियम हमेशा याद रखें ठोस (solid) खाने को चबा कर तरल (liquid) बना कर खाएँ। तरल (liquid) को मुँह में घूँट घूँट पीएँ। खाना ज़मीन पर बैठ कर खाएँ। खाते वक़्त ना तो बात करें और ना ही TV और mobile को देखें। ठोस (solid) भोजन के तुरंत बाद या बीच बीच में जूस या पानी ना लें। भोजन हो जाने के एक घंटे बाद तरल पदार्थ (liquid) ले सकते हैं।

ऐसा करने से हाज़मा कभी ख़राब नहीं होगा।

जानवरों से उपलब्ध होने वाले भोजन वर्जित हैं।

तेल, मसाला, और गेहूँ से परहेज़ करेंगे तो अच्छा होगा। चीनी के जगह गुड़ का सेवन करें।

हफ़्ते में एक दिन उपवास करें। शाम तक केवल पानी लें, प्यास लगे तो ही पीएँ। शाम 5 बजे नारियल पानी लें और 2 घंटे बाद सलाद लें।

Asthma is a condition caused by inflammation in the airways of the lungs, which weakens its ability to exchange air. The inflammation results in narrowing of the air pathways and when combined with excess mucus production can cause breathing difficulties, coughing, and wheezing. If not treated properly, this chronic inflammatory disease can be debilitating and hinder normal life. 


It will be managed and cured by using proper natural food habits, remedies and lifestyle changes. Bronchial Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of airway. It leads to recurrent episodes of wheezing, breathlessness, tightness of chest and cough particularly at night or early morning.


Natural remedies:

  • Magnesium can relieve the spasm of muscles surrounding the airways of the lung. 
  • Green tea and other the herbal tea preparations can provide relief by acta as a Bronchodilator. 
  • Omega-3 oils, dry fruits and flax seeds, balance the allergic/inflammatory pathways.
  • Taking hot water mixed with honey daily will help you to get rid of wheezing.
  • When there is mucus/phlegm accumulation in the chest, taking inhalation of steam is good and relieves sneezing and nasal congestion.
  • Diets and fruits containing vitamin C and E are to improve the immunity. Add more fresh fruits and vegetables. Add more green leafy vegetables
  • Nutrients like vitamins C, B6, and B12, and the minerals selenium and molybdenum can improve respiratory health.
  • Good balanced diet should be taken in regular interval.
  • Put few drops of eucalyptus oil in a bowl of boiling water and take its steam. This helps in opening up any nasal blockages and facilitates easy breathing.
  • Mustard oil: Mustard oil mixed with camphor is a potent combination for asthma treatment. Massage the mixture all over the chest, till you get relief from the asthma. Warming the oil before massaging it ensures you feel the warmth which provides quicker relief.
  • Chewing basil leaves (Tulsi) daily helps to get rid of Wheezing, Asthma and other respiratory problems.
  • Ginger:  It is also very effective against asthma. Prepare a mixture of equal quantities of ginger, honey and pomegranate - consume it 2-3 times a day. Relives asthma and sneezing.


Pursed-lip breathing may seem awkward at first, but it helps ease labored breathing:


  • Breathe in through your mouth or nose.
  • Purse your lips (like whistling). Breathe out.
  • Try to exhale until all the air is gone. A good way to do this is to take twice as long to breathe out as you take to breathe in. Count to 4 as you breathe in. Purse your lips and count up to 8 as you breathe out.


Do’s and Don’ts:


  • Avoid excessive Intake of black gram, beans, sesame causes mucus and disturbance in kapha.
  • Avoid milk and milk products and non vegetarian foods.
  • Avoid mucus forming fruits and vegetables.
  • Avoid drinking cold water and direct exposure to cold weather/climate.
  • Sip lukewarm mater regularly.
  • Exposure to pollutants like dust, smoke.
  • Suppression of natural urges also cause respiratory diseases.
  • Avoid coffee, tea and other artificial beverages.
  • Use mask to prevent pollution.
  • Avoid artificial colourings, preservatives, aspirin, ibuprofen, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
  • Avoid fatty, oily fried items.

Asthma also known as bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory condition of the airways which causes obstruction making it difficult for a person to breathe.The best remedies for treating bronchial asthma is to make a necessary lifestyle modification and dietary changes. 

• A good diet for Asthma and every other breathing disorders should contain a good amount of foods with vitamins C, E, antioxidants and omega 3 fatty acids which are mostly present in fruits and vegetables.

•Have plenty of dark green, leafy vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and seeds.

Flaxseeds, walnuts, chia seeds, Brussels sprouts are rich in omega 3 fatty acids which helps ease inflamed airways.

•Have plenty of avocadoes as it contains a compound called glutathione, which helps to detoxify allergens.

•Garlic helps to lower asthma attacks as it inhibits its activity of certain enzymes that generate inflammatory substances. 

•Drinking herbal teas or sipping lukewarm water with honey is helpful. 

•Certain foods, such as chocolates, carbonated beverages, fatty foods, mint, spicy foods and onions should be restricted.

•Dairy products, such as milk, cheese yoghurt and even creamy soups, cheesecake should be restricted or cut off completely.

•Avoid citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruit, lemons and limes they can aggregate the symptoms.

•Avoid smoking and exposure to dusty and cold air.

•Avoid food with artificial colours, sugary or any added preservatives.

•Eat less than the full capacity of the stomach because it can cause gas or bloating and puts pressure on your diaphragm. This may cause chest tightness and trigger asthma flares. These foods include beans, cabbage, carbonated drinks, onion and fried foods.

• During attack apply hot chest pack. Compress chest pack for 5-10 minutes daily will help improve the condition.

• Add a drop of eucalyptus oil in boiling water and take facial steam. This will help open the nasal passage and ease breathing.

 • Practice yogasanas such as bhujangasa, ardha Matsyendrasana, ushtrasana and pranayama such as Nadi Shodana and kapalabhati. Practising yogasanas and pranayama can help relieve the stress as well which is also responsible for triggering an attack. Practice under a qualified practitioner for better health benefits.
