I m 60 years old. My foot got twisted few days ago and it's paining since then. Doctor said it's not fracture. How to get rid of this pain?

Hello,

Hot and cold compression helps in alternately aiding your situation as the blood circulation is increased or decreased accordingly. This reduces the pain as well as helps in swelling.

The next important thing is to start with the intake of GOND, this was very much used in ancient times whenever there was an issue related to fractures or muscles. Half tablespoon of gond with warm water and see the healing hastening.

Dear health seeker, 

I am 72years old nature cure practitioner for the past 45 years, you may read my journey on Wellcure platform. This I am narrating to tell you about my recovery from the same situation. Some 4 years ago. I fell down from a makeshift wooden structure while repairing a wire, from a height of only 5feet and my foot impacted badly with the floor. There was severe pain and swelling. Since we don't use any palliative or painkiller or any creams etc. We have a universal pain killer i.e cold water. It was in the month of December and the weather was quite chilly. I immediately immersed my leg into cold water up to calf level for about 40 minutes and repeated the process after every two hours. In the night the pain was unbearable. There was no sleep on account of severe pain. I put up a thick cotton bandage covering it with warm clothes, and lo and behold I slept through the night and again in the day the cold immersion was restored as usual. My pain subsided within 3 days. No x-ray was allowed, no plaster cast. Within 10 days I was up and about. For 4days, I subsisted only on fruits juices and thereafter fruits and vegetables raw and cooked.

You may follow suite for the recovery of your pain.

Sprains do heal when given ample rest and hydrotherapy. Immerse your leg in hot and cold water alternatively for 20 mins. Post that tie a wet cloth and rest. Repeat the process as long as it needs to heal. Daily twice you can do this. It should go within a day. My daughter plays basketball and injures her ankle sometimes and we do this religiously. 

Moreover staying on a positive diet will speed up the healing. 3 lts total liquids with water/juices from fruits veggies and greens plus only fruits will rest your digestive system giving a chance to help your body heal. 

Avoid all these - dairy meat eggs fish sugar fried processed and refined.

Our movement and physical activities are supported by nerves. With ageing nerves weaken, therefore the electric energy passing through them to muscles is obstructed which gives us the indication of pain. Pain also is an indication of an increased level of toxicity in the foot.

To heal this pain, sit in a comfortable close and gently massage the pain area in a circular motion. Pay attention to the breath. Breath is the carrier of energy our prana. Close your eyes focus your breath on the affected area and breathe normally. Visualize with every incoming you are directing the life force or vital energy to the affected area and with every outgoing breath, you are removing the toxins, the pain, and discomfort out of the body.

For better nerves cleansing, practise Nadi Shodhan Pranayama. To ensure the healing energy is directed from the brain, focus on the throat region on Vishuddhi chakra. Practice Ujjayi pranayama while exhaling feel the sensation in the throat region and make the whispering sound with ‘Ham’ pronunciation. It is advisable to relax the body part experiencing pain. Once the pain subsides, practise Pawanmuktasana (wind release pose) part one. Besides helping in removing energy blockages, it is very beneficial subtle asanas for rheumatism, arthritis. 

To nourish the muscles, it is advisable to conserve energy, on digestion by having early dinner (preferably before sunset), and light food (which causes less digestive load) such as less grain, more of steamed, sattvic food.

A sprain is an overstretching or tearing of ligaments — the tough bands of fibrous tissue that connect two bones together in your joints. The most common location for a sprain is in your ankle or foot. Initial treatment includes rest, ice, compression and elevation. Mild sprains can successfully be treated at home.

Initial line of treatment for sprains is to go with a strategy RICE.

  • Rest the injured part. Pain is the body's signal to not move an injury.
  • Ice the injury. This will limit the swelling and help with the spasm.
  • Compress the injured area. This again limits the swelling. Be careful not to apply a wrap so tightly that it might act as a tourniquet and cut off the blood supply.
  • Elevate the injured part. This lets gravity help reduce the swelling by allowing fluid and blood to drain downhill to the heart.
  • Hot water foot bath could be soothing to reduce the pain
  • Whenever you need to stand, it is best to take the support of the wall or any external support, so that you dont put lot stress on the injured leg
  • Avoiding using high heels foot wear which could aggravate the condition.

If this twisting is a regular phenomenon of your body then there is a deficiency of calcium or vitamin d is not properly absorbed then you have to improve the function of kidney which will allow more absorption of vitamin d and calcium will be utilise properly too.

But if it is just happened due to some unavoidable circumstances then the water therapy as suggested by one of our brother will help you a lot.

Hi,  

It's a good thing it's not a fracture. It may be just muscular sprain. Pain may be due to over straining or twist of muscles or ligaments in the foot. Due to this swelling or bruises happens leads to pain. 

  • Give complete rest to your foot.  
  • Avoid straining and walking to avoid discomfort. 
  • Add camphor in heated sesame oil or mustard oil. Apply warm oil on the painful areas and gently massage. Pain will be releived by improving circulation.
  • Apply crepe bandage or compression to stabilize the muscular movements and avoid swelling.
  • Use an ice pack or warm compress on the painful areas it will help to relieve pain by improving circulation leads to healing.
  • Take proper diet.  Take more fruits and vegetables. Help to avoid any inflammation and in healing process.

हेलो,

कारण - पैरों के मुड़ने के का दर्द स्वाभाविक है लेकिन शरीर के अम्लीयता को कम करने से दर्द में आराम होगा। पैर मुड़ना के दर्द के मुख्य कारक निर्जलीकरण और खनिजों की कमी जैसे कैल्शियम, पोटैशियम और मैग्नीशियम आदि है ये पोषक तत्व सलाद फल कच्चे सब्ज़ी के जूस में मिलेंगे। आहार शुद्धि और जीवन शैली में परिवर्तन कर आप बेहतर स्वास्थ लाभ ले सकेंगे।

समाधान - पैरों के नीचे तकिया रखें जिससे आपका पैर थोड़ा ऊपर उठ सके। इससे खून एक जगह पर नहीं जम पाएगा और वह पूरे शरीर में सर्कुलेट होगा। इससे पैरों की सूजन कम हो जाएगी।

खिंचाव होने के तुरंत बाद ही उस जगह पर बर्फ लगा कर सेकाई की जाए तो उस जगह पर सूजन नहीं आती। दर्द को दूर करने के लिये हर 1-2 घंटे में 20 मिनट की बर्फ से सिकाई करनी चाहिये। बर्फ को हमेशा किसी कपड़े में लपेट कर लगाना चाहिये।

जीवन शैली-  1आकाश तत्व - एक खाने से दुसरे खाने के बीच में अंतराल (gap) रखें।

फल के बाद 3 घंटे, सलाद के बाद 5 घंटे, और पके हुए खाने के बाद 12 घंटे का (gap) रखें।

2.वायु तत्व - प्राणायाम करें, आसन करें। दौड़ लगाएँ।

3.अग्नि - सूर्य की रोशनी लें।

4.जल - अलग अलग तरीक़े का स्नान करें। मेरुदंड स्नान, हिप बाथ, गीले कपड़े की पट्टी से पेट की गले और सर की 20 मिनट के लिए सेक लगाए। 

स्पर्श थरेपी करें। मालिश के ज़रिए भी कर सकते है। नारियल तेल से

घड़ी की सीधी दिशा (clockwise) में और घड़ी की उलटी दिशा (anti clockwise)में मालिश करें। नरम हाथों से बिल्कुल भी प्रेशर नहीं दें।

5.पृथ्वी - सुबह खीरा 1/2 भाग + धनिया पत्ती (10 ग्राम) पीस लें, 100 ml पानी मिला कर पीएँ। यह juice आप कई प्रकार के ले सकते हैं। पेठे (ashguard ) का जूस लें और कुछ नहीं लेना है। नारियल पानी भी ले सकते हैं। पालक  पत्ते धो कर पीस कर 100ml पानी डाल पीएँ। दुब घास 25 ग्राम पीस कर छान कर 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। कच्चे सब्ज़ी का जूस आपका मुख्य भोजन है। 2 घंटे बाद फल नाश्ते में लेना है। 

फल को चबा कर खाएँ। इसका juice ना लें। फल + सूखे फल नाश्ते में लें।

दोपहर के खाने में सलाद + नट्स और अंकुरित अनाज के साथ  सलाद में हरे पत्तेदार सब्ज़ी को डालें और नारियल पीस कर मिलाएँ। कच्चा पपीता 50 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। कभी सीताफल ( yellow pumpkin)50 ग्राम ऐसे ही डालें। कभी सफ़ेद पेठा (ashgurd) 30 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। ऐसे ही ज़ूकीनी 50 ग्राम डालें।कद्दूकस करके डालें।कभी काजू बादाम अखरोट मूँगफली भिगोए हुए पीस कर मिलाएँ। 

लाल, हरा, पीला शिमला मिर्च 1/4 हिस्सा हर एक का मिलाएँ। लें। बिना नींबू और नमक के लें। स्वाद के लिए नारियल और herbs मिलाएँ।

रात के खाने में इस अनुपात से खाना खाएँ 2 कटोरी सब्ज़ी के साथ 1कटोरी चावल या 1रोटी लेएक बार पका हुआ खाना रात को 7 बजे से पहले लें।

6.सेंधा नमक केवल एक बार पके हुए खाने में लें। जानवरों से उपलब्ध होने वाले भोजन वर्जित हैं।

तेल, मसाला, और गेहूँ से परहेज़ करेंगे तो अच्छा होगा। चीनी के जगह गुड़ लें।

7.एक नियम हमेशा याद रखें ठोस(solid) खाने को चबा कर तरल (liquid) बना कर खाएँ। तरल  को मुँह में घूँट घूँट पीएँ। खाना ज़मीन पर बैठ कर खाएँ। खाते वक़्त ना तो बात करें और ना ही TV और mobile को देखें।ठोस  भोजन के तुरंत बाद या बीच बीच में जूस या पानी ना लें। भोजन हो जाने के एक घंटे बाद तरल पदार्थ  ले सकते हैं।

हफ़्ते में एक दिन उपवास करें। शाम तक केवल पानी लें, प्यास लगे तो ही पीएँ। शाम 5 बजे नारियल पानी और रात 8 बजे सलाद लें।

8.उपवास के अगले दिन किसी प्राकृतिक चिकित्सक के देख रेख में टोना लें। जिससे आँत की प्रदाह को शांत किया जा सके। एनिमा किट मँगा लें। यह किट ऑनलाइन मिल जाएगा। इससे 200ml पानी गुदाद्वार से अंदर डालें और प्रेशर आने पर मल त्याग करें। ऐसा दिन में दो बार करना है अगले 21 दिनों के लिए। ये करना है ताकि शरीर में मोजुद विषाणु निष्कासित हो जाये। इसके बाद हफ़्ते में केवल एक बार लेना है उपवास के अगले दिन। टोना का फ़ायदा तभी होगा जब आहार शुद्धि करेंगे।
