Bleeding in PCOD is one the commonest problem and the bleeding could take place more than the specified time and every time it occurs might not be for the same duration of time.

Polycystic ovary disease (PCOD) is a condition that creates an imbalance in a woman's hormone levels. Here in this condition, women produce higher levels of male hormones which might make the women skip the menstrual periods, which is why you would see irregular menstrual periods in women who suffer from this condition. This condition is caused by insulin resistance, some genetic history or due to inflammation in the ovaries. Symptoms like irregular periods, abnormal hair growth, acne, weight gain, male pattern of baldness, darkening of skin and headaches are common in this condition.

Lifestyle modification and diet along with Yoga therapy could play a vital role in the management of this condition.

A low glycemic index and low carb diet consumption have shown very good results. Some research studies have elicited this fact.

Yoga therapy if taken under a trained Yoga therapist could be beneficial as well.

Also include the following foods:

  • Broccoli and cauliflower.

Bleeding sometimes continues for 7 days lightly, but if it extends longer then you must understand that although you have medicated yourself, your condition has not healed, but has only got suppressed inside.

PCOS is a result of the body malfunctioning due to lifestyle. Once the lifestyle is corrected and back to track, the body gets back to normal too. Whether it was emotional stress or physical stress and wrong food choices, sedentary lifestyle, they all help each other mess the body’s normal functioning. I believe that people who are disciplined can reverse it in a few months. But this is a lifestyle and not a diet. Cysts are growths in the body which stores toxins in it. Cysts are at the hardening stage of a disease progression in the body. If those toxins were roaming freely, it would have caused more damage. It’s hence the way of locking those toxins and virus in a sack. Once a healthy plant-based lifestyle is followed, they will melt and be thrown out of the body. Your weight will also come under control once you remove the causes that have caused this imbalance.

Follow this:-

Morning on an empty stomach

  • Celery juice 500 ml filtered / ash gourd juice/cucumber juice/ green juice with any watery vegetable like ash gourd /cucumber/ridge gourd/bottle gourd/carrot/ beet with ginger and lime filtered/ tender coconut water or more pure veggie juice

Afternoon from 12:-

  • A bowl of fruits - don’t mix melons and other fruits. Eat melons alone. Eat citrus alone

  • Followed by a bowl of veg salad

  • Dinner 2-3 hrs before sleep with Gluten-free, oil-free unpolished grains or dals 30% and 70% veggies

  • Please take enema for 30 days with Luke warm water and then slowly reduce the freq. this is not a substitute for daily nature call. Consult an expert as needed

  • Include some exercises that involve moving all your parts (neck, shoulder, elbows, wrist, hip bending twisting, squats, knees, ankles). Join a gym and start weight training. Do yoga for flexibility

  • See if u can go to the morning sun for sometime in a day 30 mins at least.

  • Ensure that you are asleep between 10-2 which is when the body needs deep sleep.

  • Place a wet cloth on your tummy for 30 mins daily

What to Avoid:-

  • Avoid refined oils, fried food, packaged ready to eat foods, dairy in any form including ghee, refined salt and sugar, gluten, refined oils coffee tea alcohol.

  • Avoid mental stress by not thinking about things you cannot control. The present is inevitable. Future can be planned. Stay happy. Happiness is only inside yourself. The world around you is a better place if you learn to stay happy inside yourself. Reach us if you need more help in this area. Emotional stress can cascade the effects. Thank your body and love it
