Hello Pushpendra,

The best way to treat psoriasis lesions is by following these two things,

1. For external application:

  • Tea tree oil, very effective in dealing with lesions. Apply tea tree oil with vehicle oils like coconut or almond.
  • Coconut oil, which is very helpful in treating the dryness of the lesion.
  • Aloe vera gel, due to its herbal property it becomes beneficial.

2. For diet

It is better to start with Vitamin C rich diet in order to help in treatment, vitamin C helps in protecting the collagen in the skin. Sources are oranges, lemon, sprouts, sweet potatoes etc.

Psoriasis is a skin condition in which skin cells build up, and form scales and dry, itchy patches. It is due to the accumulation of toxins and directly related to metabolic disorders. It is essential to eliminate toxins and get the metabolism in the track. To treat and cure psoriasis make some lifestyle changes. Make a change in diet. Avoid certain foods trigger psoriasis, while others can help it calm down. Since everyone's body is different, some trigger foods may not be the same for all. But, there are a few common foods that tend to trigger.

They are as follows:

  • Spicy, Junk, fast food, as they tend to be high in starch, trans fats and sugar, which tend to promote inflammation.
  • Gluten also has the potential to trigger inflammation in some people.
  • Nightshade' plants like potatoes, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, etc. as they contain alkaloids and lectins, which can cause inflammation. They also contain solanine, a chemical compound, which has been shown to trigger pain in some people. 
  • Avoid vegetables which give allergic responses like brinjal (allergic to some peoples).
  • Avoid milk and milk products.
  • Avoid non vegetarian food items.
  • Avoid white flour, sugar, polished rice, and fatty, oily and spicy food items.
  • Avoid tea, coffee and other aerated, carbonated beverages.

Foods to be included

  • Foods rich in antioxidants, like vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene, and selenium, essential fatty acids are more important to treat psoriasis.
  • Include fresh fruits and veggies, especially berries tomato, and green leafy vegetables.
  • Take more Vitamin C rich fruits like oranges, lemon, amla etc.
  • Consume Walnuts Avocado and flax seeds rich in  omega-3 fatty acids.
  • Antioxidant-rich herbs and spices, like thyme, sage, cumin, and ginger.  

Drink more water: Drinking plain water helps keep you hydrated, and when you have psoriasis, being well hydrated will keep your skin from getting too dry. Helps to keep your skin moist.

Salt baths: A warm bath can be soothing to the skin, especially with Epsom salt will help to reduce the inflammation and heals the rash and scaliness in psoriasis.

Aloe vera.: applying fresh aloe vera gel on the affected area helps to reduce and heal the inflammation in psoriasis. Taking aloe vera juice internally also helps to improve immunity and cures psoriasis.

Omega-3 fatty acids: Helps to improve immunity Include nuts and dry fruits especially walnut, apricot and avocado in your diet for good fatty acids.

Turmeric: As an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory agent applying turmeric paste o the affected area helps to cure psoriasis. Including in your diet also more beneficial.

Sun Light: The nutrient Vitamin D, as well as the UV rays from light exposure, can help clear or prevent psoriasis plaques. Sunlight triggers vitamin D production, which is beneficial to strong bones and immune function.   Start with a 10-minute exposure at morning or evening gradually increase the time by 20- 30 seconds daily. Take proper care like drinking water and measure to prevent skin tanning. Morning or evening sunlight is more beneficial.

Stress: Stress is also the main cause of stress, to relieve stress do regular physical activities. Practice Yoga, practice relaxation techniques, meditation and yoga Nidra etc. to keep the stress away.

Psoriasis is usually a result of suppression of simple skin issues for a prolonged period of time. You might be able to recall or let us know what skin issues minor or major you had before this became psoriasis. 

It’s an advanced chronic skin condition and it will take few months to heal. If you have had food that’s consistently poor in nutrition and life, how will the skin breathe? Dominance of neg cooked foods, dairy, meat eggs fish etc will tax the skin. So when the body is overloaded with toxins, skin as an excretory organ will be asked to do more work than it can handle. Other channels might either be blocked or sluggish. Hence the skin. 

1) wear clothes of loose cotton where skin can breathe and light can enter.

2) remove or avoid touching any chemicals and use chemical-free items 



 use this for the body too

Take bath only with cold water the head alone in all weathers.  And Lukewarm for body in cold weathers. 

3)Sunbath for 1 hr in the early morning first rays of the sun 

4) Avoid all forms of plastic usage in foods, microwave, Teflon aluminium and such things, avoid all forms of cosmetics. Just plain water wash and my body wash will do which is what I do too. I have healed from urticaria a similar skin condition .. but u have gone past that too. 

5)coming to diet - You need to flood your body with tender coconut water/veg juices for all your day if itching is severe. Fast on liquids for one full day every week. Switch to juices for breakfast (Grapes, carrots, beet, cucumber is a great way to nourish the lymphatics), raw fruits for lunch, salads for dinner. Avoid all forms of cooked salt oil for 6-8 weeks for complete cleansing of the system. I took almost a year to heal. I was on juice fasts when my issue was severe. You will continue to get patches when ur on this diet, it’s a sign of junk coming out form the skin. So don’t panic and think it’s increasing. Avoid itching. Switch to liquids when it's unbearable. That’s ur mantra on skin issues. 

You must say goodbye to all forms of animal products - dairy, meat eggs fish, sugar wheat maida oil outside packed foods, fried food etc. So remember you can’t have food in functions when ur healing. Once completely healed, u still cannot have animal products wheat fried and sugar.  

6) water enema is a must daily till you heal. Buy a kit and look for videos and do it daily after your morning potty. 

7)You can use some coconut oil and apply a wet thick cloth in places where you think u can’t bear. 

8) get off all forms of medication. You have to learn to heal with the above only and trust the body. Meds are enemies of the body. 

9) you have to develop a positive attitude for everyone around you. You cannot have hatred in your heart. It literally burns u. You have to listen to people like bk Shivani / Sadguru / Louise hay and such people and remove all negativity and burden ur carrying. Learn to live like flowing water. Forgive everyone around you

10) yoga and majorly pranayama is a must to make ur cells breathe 

You will continue to get lesions on and off for 2 yrs too.  By that time you will know how to manage if it happens. The tank has to become empty to be free forever.

Dear health seeker Pushpendra, 

If there is a permanent solution to your health issues of psoriasis, then you will have to reverse your unhygienic lifestyle to a hygienic lifestyle. In the process, all your health issues will be solved for all time to come. 

The real cause of skin can be attributed to a simple factor that your lifestyle has gone far far away from nature. Ponder over the few  questions:

  1. Do you perspire as a sequel to normal living means, that you must be wearing clothes inimical hazardous to the skin like heavy jeans, synthetic clothing, putting cosmetics, creams, lotions soaps talcum powder onto to the skin. These all are enemy of skin. Making the skin sluggish not doing its proper job of eliminating toxins through sweat. 
  2. You must be living in for the most part of the day in Ac facilities thus depriving skin to perform its duty of expelling morbid matter. 
  3. These  days  nobody  exposes  his  body to the  air  or to the sun
  4. Most person bath with hot water and doesn't rub the skin for allowing the healthy blood in the fine capillaries to flow into it making skin yet poorer. 
  5.  The  diet  is  usually  highly  acidic in  nature  consisting of  more of  carbohydrates  fats  proteins, animal  products. 

All the above  factors  are  responsible  for the  skin  disease  named  psoriasis 

You will do  well if you  rectify the above  mode causing psoriasis  precipitate. If you  put your house in order  by  living a  hygienic lifestyle  as per the  laws governing our organism  ere  long you will be  healthy and  free from  not only  pimples  but  all  other latent diseases. By following  nature cure sick becomes well, well becomes better, better  still  better. Lacs of patients have  thus been restored to health. There are no short cuts to health.
Apply mud pack or  gobi  Chandon or  Multani mitti over the seed of psoriasis taking care that mud should be sourced from 5 to 6 feet beneath earth ensuring that bud is free from polluting agents. Alternatively, Multani mitti or simple water packs may be applied for half an hour thrice in a day. Don't apply any medicinal creams since they will leave permanent scar mark, apply coconut oil if skin is dry.
Also  follow the regime as under:_

1. Ensure to eat only when sufficient true hunger is there to  digest the  food eaten. We must  eat to  live  and not  live to eat 

2. As a  start drink any alkaline juice either of the following, ash gourd, bilva patra , banana pith. 

3. Sunbathing in the early morning sun for  25 minutes, followed by a spinal bath or  full bath 

4. Some simple  yogic  asanas 

5. A  wet pack over abdomen for 20 minutes.

6. Fruit salads or vegetable salads in breakfast .

7. Conservatively  cooked  vegetables and  raw  salads with  enough  coconut scrappings in lunch 

8. Fruit  juice  at or  around 4 PM if  there's  a  sufficiency of  hunger, if not then avoid 

9. Conservatively  cooked  vegetables plus  one or two roti or small quantity of rice in dinner 

10. Abdomen wet pack for 20 minutes twice in the day 

11.Needless to  mention that  avoid all  enervating foods tea and  coffee, processed, manufactured, preserved foods, habits 

All your psoriasis and all other health issues will be radically cured within a short period

Psoriasis is a type of skin condition which speeds up the life cycle of skin cells and leads to earlier dead skin cells. It causes cells to build up rapidly on the surface of the skin, scaliness and itching appear the scales and red patches cause itchy and sometimes becomes painful. It occurs due to high levels of histamine and release of other chemicals into the skin, causing a rash. Psoriasis has a direct relation to the metabolism of the body, hence fasting therapy with seven days of juice fasting is advised. Freshly extracted juices like carrot, beetroot, grapes and cucumber could be useful during the fasting therapy. Make a point to avoid citrus fruits as this could aggravate your problem.

Some natural therapies have a better scope of managing this condition. A permanent cure depends on how strictly you do modifications of your lifestyle which is wrong right now is corrected and also dietary changes you make.

  • After the fast has been broken, then you could move to a bland diet which comprises mainly of vegetable salads and fruits and later to a very bland diet ( boiled diet ).
  • Try to avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, social drugs, junk foods, white foods ( refine sugar, salt, and maida ), too oily and spicy diet, carbonated drinks etc.
  • Try using some natural herbal soaps shampoos and especially which are plant-based products which contain least chemicals.
  • Try an application of cabbage leaf ( outmost leaves ) and made into a paste and applied on the affected area and then expose those applied body parts to morning sunlight for at least 30-40 mins.
  • The same way you could try with potato paste as well and methodology is almost the same.
  • Apart from this, you may practice yoga ( asanas, pranayama, meditation and deep breathing exercises ) under a well-trained yoga teacher.
