Hello Barath Srikanth,

Dry eyes are caused due to infection happening in the body, the best way to treat this infection is by working on the immunity. Due to continuous exposure to pollutants in the environment, our low nutritive diet, and a sedentary lifestyle our body's action becomes vulnerable, making it susceptible to infections. This eye infection can be very well taken care of in a natural way.

It is time to make changes in the diet and adapt an overall naturalistic lifestyle. A holistic measure is the only way you can treat this thing completely.

The first thing in the morning is to start your day with something light in nature. Easy to digest is what your breakfast should be because they are the kind of nutrients that get absorbed easily. Even the early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water will help in flushing out all the toxinsThe ideal diet would be to depend on fruits and raw vegetable intake and refrain from something which is oil-based. Have fruit salad in the afternoon time and vegetable salad as evening snack this will be light on your stomach.

  • A diet rich in Vitamin C will help in dealing with any immunity problem. Sources like lemons, oranges, mosumbi will help.
  • Warm compression, three times a day, helps in increasing blood circulation in the area.
  • Putting rose water in the eyes helps in keeping them moist.
  • Wash your eyes regularly with warm water.

  • Pranayam helps in detoxifying the body, practicing it early morning in an area which has good sunlight will help in improving blood circulation.
  • Suryanamaskar daily 12 sets will help in increasing the blood circulation of your body.
  • Tratak eye exercises help in improving eye muscle and keep you away from any eye problems.

In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it, but with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleep with the help of music to stay positive.

Use a 15-minute relaxation technique before sleep, by hearing a piece of soothing music and deep breathing will help in relaxing your mind.

A positive attitude will help you to deal with everything in life.

Sleeping for at least 7-8 hours is really helpful in dealing with any problem. Sleep is our body's natural response and helps the body to heal. Sleep relaxes the muscles and strengthens our body. During sleep, our body goes into a repair mechanism where it heals itself.

Hopefully, these suggestions will help you.

Thank you

Hello Barath,

Dry eye is a condition that occurs when your tears aren't able to provide adequate lubrication to your eyes. Tears can be inadequate because of certain reasons like excessive use of electronic devices or riding a bike. Some medications, certain diseases may also result in dry eyes.
A person suffer from dry eye may experience burning or stinging sensation, redness in eyes, etc.
A change in lifestyle can cure the problem.

What should be done?

  • Wash your eyes with cold water 4 to 5 times a day.
  • Use warm compresses twice a day.
  • Minimize the use of electronic devices like mobiles, laptops, computers, tv, etc.
  • Put rose water (gulab jal) in your eyes.
  • Drink plenty of water during the day to be hydrated.
  • Drink Vitamin C rich drinks like lemon juice, orange juice, or have one amla daily. This will help to fight against the infection if it is there.
  • Eat carrots, green leafy vegetables, broccoli.
  • Eat fresh fruits also to get all the essential nutrients.

Exercising is also important for healthy eyes.

  • Rotate your eyes in a clockwise direction and then in the anti-clockwise direction.
  • Similarly, move the eyes to right-left and up-down.
  • Walk barefoot on grass early in the morning.
  • Take sunrays daily in the morning for at least 20min.
  • Do shirsha asana for better blood circulation.

Sleep deprivation or improper sleeping pattern may also lead to burning eyes. Hence, take proper sleep of at least 7-8 hours daily. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning.

Thank you

Try these three things:
1. Roll your tongue anticlockwise in your mouth 13 times. This generates saliva. Absence of proper salivation is a major symptom of dryness anywhere in the body, including eyes.
2. Do eye exercises as drynes of eyes also happens because of restricted eye-movement.
3. Apply two drops of coconut oil in your navel before going to bed. Help it percolate through light clockwise movement of your finger.
