Hello User,

There are various reasons because of which vital organs like kidneys in our body get damaged. Uncontrolled high blood sugar levels and high blood pressure are the most common causes for kidney diseases. Hypothyroidism is a health condition which results in hormonal disbalance and results in other health conditions. You suffer from both hypothyroidism and BP. Hence, it is important to work on the root cause.

When the kidneys aren't working properly  waste builds up in the blood including waste products from the food. Therefore it's necessary for people with kidney disease to follow a correct diet.

What to eat

  • Eat only plant based natural foods in your diet.
  • Lower your salt intake to maintain BP and use rock salt in foods.
  • Include cauliflower in your diet. It is a source of many nutrients including Vitamin C, vitamin K, and the B vitamin folate. It is also full of anti inflammatory compounds.
  • Have blueberries. They are filled with nutrients and are one of the best antioxidants.
  • Avoid sodium for which avoid say no to added salt and replace table salt with rock salt for cooking.
  • Drink coconut water daily.
  • Have almond milk.
  • Include sprouts and salads in your diet.
  • Have overnight soaked raisins and almonds.

Foods to avoid

  • Avoid tea, coffee and other caffeinated drinks.
  • Say no to carbonated drinks.
  • Avoid dairy products and animal products.
  • Say no to processed foods and packaged foods.

Yoga

Yoga is very essential as it helps in the proper functioning of the body and aids healing process in the body.

  • Practice suryanamaskar daily.
  • Do pranayam regularly for atleast 15-20min, specially anulom-vilom and bhastrika pranayam.
  • Take early morning sunrays daily.
