This recipe could be a healthy alternative to offer when your kids ask for a light evening snack or satisfy their small hunger pangs while studying till late at night! A worthwhile replacement of packaged juices, that are loaded with sugar and other additives.
Strawberries are in season only for a brief duration, make sure to use only freshly available strawberries to make the best of this amazingly healthy and delicious drink!
Apples: 2 medium sized (peeled and chopped)
Fresh strawberries: 4-5 (finely cut and the top green portion removed)
Honey or date syrup for taste (optional)
Water as per desired consistency
Blend the cut apple and strawberry pieces together well in a blender.
Add ¼ to ½ cup of water as per desired consistency and give it a blend one more time.
Mix 1-2 tsp of honey or date syrup for sweetness if needed (optional).
Tasty apple-strawberry juice is ready to be served.
Food group: Fruits.
Best time to eat: mornings as breakfast or first meal. Can be eaten as an evening snack.
Great way to up fruits for kids, offer them after school or play.
Remember to eat alone and not mixed with meals.

I’ve been blending apples in my mixie with dates and water for a while now. Had got bored of it. Replacing the dates with strawberries is such a welcome change. Loved the strawberry flavour in my apple juice this morning, hubby loved it too!! And so pretty looking.
