Juicing beetroot is one of the many ways of adding the benefits of beetroot to your diet. It could be juiced in combination with other veggies or alone. You could also choose to vary the consistency as per your liking!

Beetroot is the taproot part of the beet plant. It is available in abundance during the winter months. Raw beetroot is almost 88% water. This root vegetable not only lends a unique bright colour to whatever it is added, but it is also a storehouse of various nutrients.

Ingredients

  • Beetroot: 1
  • Lemon Juice: 2 tsp
  • Water: 1 cup or as required

Method

  • Wash your beets thoroughly. Peel, chop into chunks and add to the mixer jar.
  • Now grind the beetroot using some water.
  • Add more water to attain the desired consistency.
  • You may choose to strain to remove big lumps, if any.
  • Add lemon juice and enjoy your way to health!

Eating Guide

  • Food Group: Vegetables (raw)
  • Veggies, are loaded with enzymes and high water content. They aid in digestion and act as daily dose of vitamins and minerals. Juicing raw vegetables is a tried and tested way to ensure your kids take in their share of raw (even the fussy ones!)
  • Remember not to add any salt to vegetable juices, else it will ferment in your tummy!
