
Choco Almond Milkshake - homemade, sugar free, dairy free!

Chocolate milkshake is a sure shot hit for most kids. But what if you choose to go dairy free! No worries! This recipe of making the much-loved choco shake is not only a yummy yield it's completely dairy free! Here we have replaced the regular milk with almond making. Choco shake with added nutrition - a packaged deal!
Ingredients
- Whole almonds: ½ cup soaked overnight
- Freshwater: 2 cups
- Seedless dates: 2-3
- Cacao powder: 2 tsp
Method
- Strain water from almonds soaked overnight.
- If desired, peel the skin of the almonds.
- Place the almonds in a blender, add some water and blend the mix.
- Next, add the dates and cacao powder to the mixture in the blender and blend again.
- Finally, add all the remaining water to the blended paste to get desired consistency.
- Strain the mix to remove the almond skin particles.
- The almond milk thus prepared can be kept in the refrigerator and can be used for 2-3 days.
Eating Guide:
- Food group: Nuts
- Nuts & nut milks are great additions post meals at night time. Easy to combine with other food groups (except fruits), cashew milk can also be used to make yummy vegetable curries
- For nutmilks, use only one variety of nut; Don’t mix nuts.
