
Lohri & Sankrati Special: No-Ghee Til Gud Laddoos

For your sweet tooth, here is an easy to make dessert at home. High on calcium and natural oils of sesame. We have replaced the white sugar with Gur (Jaggery)
No ghee, no refined products; only taste and health!
Nuts are great ways to add a variety of nutritional profile. Healthy Oils, Natural source of fats, calcium, and even fiber, there is no reason why not add them more. A wide variety of various nuts on a weekly basis will ensure you are never to worry ‘where are my protein and calcium coming from’!
Ingredients
- White til (sesame seeds): 1 cup
- Jaggery powder: 1/2 cup
- Cardamom (elaichi): 4-5
Method
- Powder the sesame in a blender.
- Add jaggery powder & crushed elaichi and blend all these one more time.
- Take out of blender on a plate, and roll into laddoo shapes.
Wellcure Tip: Involve kids in rolling process! They love it…. Have a competition who can make more laddoos!
Eating Guide:
- Food group: Nuts
- Best time to eat: After meals. Can be combined with other food groups except fruits.
- Great way to up natural oils and fats for kids.

this recipe is to be done with roasted sesame or raw? I had roasted sesame seeds in my kitchen, so used those, but i think the laddoos came out a bit bitter. Either sesame should have been un roasted or they were over roasted?

these days i'm sprinkling roasted sesame seeds on Samar's rotis. I'm sure he'll love these laddoos, he has a sweet tooth!! Trying soon.
