Fruity breakfast cereal bowl - Make it at home, sugar free

Off the shelf cereal packets contain processed ingredients and are high in sugar. A colourful 'cereal' bowl made with just fruits fulfills all your nutritional requirements and provides the best kickstart for a busy day. Light and fulfilling and ready in a jiffy too!

Ingredients

Colourful seasonal fruits

  • Kiwi, apples, pears, pineapple, papaya, chiku, mango etc
  • Mix of berries if you like them
  • 2 ripe, spotty banana for making banana 'milk'
Method
  • Grind the banana into a smooth paste with water so it can be of pouring consistency. This imitates the milk.
  • Cut the fruits and arrange into a bowl. Different kinds of fruits make for a colourful presentation
  • Now pour the banana ‘milk’ onto the fruits. Mix it all up and enjoy your own home made cereal.

Notes:

  • Add soaked raisins or dates if you want more sweetness
  • Cut fruit and keep separately. So each member of the family can pick and choose as per their preference.
  • Banana ‘milk’ or puree can be replaced with any other fruit puree like mango or papaya..i.e any pulpy fruit will do.
  • Do not use sour fruits like citrus fruits and melons.
