
Basil Mint Ginger Tea - sip your way to health, without dairy or sugar!

This recipe is one of the many options that can be used to replace our regular tea. The caffeinated tea that we drink as a stimulant, has a highly acidic impact on our body. It is habit forming, plus we add refined sugar to each cup we consume. A herbal tea is a healthier alternative that could be prepared easily using various combinations of herbs and/or spices. Try this combination of mint, ginger and tulsi leaves.
Ingredients
- Water: 1 ½ Cup
- Basil Leaves: 5-7
- Ginger: a small piece (Chopped)
- Mint Leaves: 5
- Honey: 1 tsp (optional)
Method
- Put water to boil.
- Add all the ingredients into the water and boil together for 2-3 minutes.
- Strain and add honey, if desired.
Eating guide:
- Food group: Herbs (Teas & drink)
- Apt for the winter season, when you crave something hot. A good replacement to the regular dairy tea.
- Can have any time during the day.
