Pineapple Papaya Smoothie

Fruits are pre-digested foods i.e. they are the easiest to digest and hence take the least amount of time to get absorbed by the body. They are provide the much required energy to the body to carry out its vital functions. Fruits should therefore be a substantial part of our dietary intake.

Incorporate fruits as smoothies to up your intake of fruits. Experiment with different combos and relish! Here is a recipe that combines juicy pineapples with papaya and pomegranate.

  • Pineapple: 1 Cup (Peeled and Chopped)
  • Papaya: ½ cup (Peeled and Chopped)
  • Lime juice: 1 tbsp
  • Pomegranate Juice: 3 tbsp
  • Water: if required, for desired consistency
  • Ice Cubes: as needed
  • Put all the fruits in a blender and add the lime juice.
  • Blend until smooth. You may add a little water for the required consistency.
  • Serve by adding ice cubes.

Eating Guide:

  • Food Group: Fruits
  • Fruits are best had first thing in the morning.
  • Remember not to mix with other food groups or cooked food.
