Chole (Chickpea) and avocado salad

Here’s a healthy chole recipe you could even have as a complete meal!

Extra tip : You can sprinkle chilli flakes on crisp chickpeas.


1/2 cup mixed greens of your choice

1 large cucumber, chopped

1 big tomato, chopped

1 avocado, chopped

2 bowls chickpeas

2 tablespoons cold pressed oil (optional)

2 teaspoons smoked paprika

1 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic salt

2 tablespoons cold pressed oil (optional)

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1⁄2 teaspoon salt

1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper

  1. Pressure cook chickpeas for 7-10 minutes. Cool it down.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the chickpeas, cold pressed oil, paprika, and black salt.
  3. Roast it on a cast iron pan till it becomes crisp.
  4. Dice the cucumber and add to a large bowl.
  5. Toss in the mixed greens, cucumber, tomatoes, avocado, roasted chickpeas, cold pressed oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, and mix until well combined.
  6. Divide between individual bowls and serve.
  7. Enjoy!
