Figs are a great source of fibre and full of vitamins and minerals. They are also a great source of natural sugar. Undoubtedly a great addition to your family’s dietary intake! But then, how to consume figs? This Banana, Strawberry and Figs recipe is the ideal answer. The trick is only to use fully ripe bananas and fresh strawberries. Fresh figs, if available is good else you could use soaked dried figs as well.
An ideal breakfast option, this drink is very satiating and can also be taken as a between-the-meals snack.
Bananas: 2 (ripe yellow long bananas)
Strawberries: 6 (remove green caps)
Fresh Figs: 2 (Can take soaked figs too)
Water: ¾ glass
Peel the banana and slice them up.
Wash the strawberries thoroughly.
Cut the stalk of the figs and cut into half.
If using soaked figs: Wash well, soak for 4-6 hours. Chop roughly. Do not throw the water. Use it to blend.
Blend all 3 together with the water into a smooth pulpy consistency
Keep in the fridge to chill well.
Pour in a nice wine glass, enjoy!

Best had in mornings as a first meal or evening snack
Keep a good 30-45 gap pre-meal.
If eating after a meal, keep a gap of 2 hours!
