Green Rice

4-5 servings
  • 1 bunch of coriander leaves
  • ¼ tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ lemon juice
  • salt
  • ¼ cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup whole brown rice
  • roasted garlic cloves
  • chopped dry red chilies
  • Wash and soak the whole brown rice for about 8-10 hours in 2 ½ cups water.
  • Cook the rice.
  • Make a chutney in the grinder with all the other ingredients except the onions.
  • Brown the onions without oil.
  • Add the chutney and roast.
  • Mix it with the cooked rice.
  • Garnish with roasted garlic cloves and chopped dry red chillies. Serve hot.
