
Instant soup mix powder - Homemade

Store-bought soup powders have excess chemicals and salt and often taste weird.
Make this soup powder and carry it along if you are a frequent traveler. In the hotel, you just need to add some hot water and a few vegetables from the nearby supermarket and your healthy soup is ready.
Ingredients
- 5 Tbsp rolled oats (GF is needed)
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp pepper powder
- A pinch of turmeric
- 1 tsp mushroom powder (optional)
- One single type of flavour - 1 tsp garam masala/italian spices
- 1 Tbsp - Any finely ground nut powder like cashews, sunflower or almond powder for additional taste
Method
- One a low flame roast the oats for 5 mins, do not brown. Let it cool.
- In a blender, add all ingredients and make into a fine powder
- To make the soup, add 3/4th to 1 tbsp of the powder into a soup bowl
- Pour 2 glasses of boiling water and cover for few minutes
- Add steamed vegetables of choice
- Mix well, adjust water and salt.
- Add a dash of cashew cream if required.
- Your bowl of steaming hot soup is ready - all homemade with no nasty ingredients found in store bought soups

The powders are store bought which inturn means they'll have chemicals/preservatives in them..

You can buy onion powder in stores or online.
Mushroom powder is also available.
If not available, some stores sell dry mushrooms. Grind and use
