Hello , I have gained weight and my bmi shows I am slightly overweight 25 something.. I want to reduce atleast 5kg in coming year. Is there any thing for me? I tried diet, exercise etc but my days seems to be very rigid. Please help

Weight gain is a result of enervation and as the body gets enervated it is not able to perform its normal daily work as of proper digestion,assimilation and excretion of the waste matter. And how did the body get so enervated as to not be able to perform its simple everyday tasks?

It’s a result of our improper lifestyle and food habits. More your lifestyle is in synchronisation with nature lesser the issues one faces with health. We must try to stick to our species specific lifestyle as much as possible to be able to stay healthy. The body weight is just a byproduct of your lifestyle. If you are on the right track the body will take care of the weight on its own.

So what is the best lifestyle and food habit routine that one can follow?

Let’s look into our eating patterns first : 

Foods to be removed

1 All packaged and processed outside food-like substances.

2 Refined flour and refined oil

3 All types of stimulants like tea and coffee. If you drink alcohol then that too must be stopped.

4 All overcooked, deep-fried oily food.

Foods to be included

1 Fresh locally grown seasonal fruits - 50% of daily intake

2 Fresh seasonal vegetables and greens - 35% of daily intake

3 Grains - soaked or sprouted or steamed - 10 % of daily intake

4 soaked nuts and seeds - 5% of daily intake

And understand this - it is not only the food that influences your quality of healtg but many other things too matter equally. 

1 Learn Pranayam and yoga for relaxing your mind, improving your flexibility and activating your lymphatic system.

2 Get good sun exposure either in the early hours of the morning or a couple of hours before sunset. 

3 Get in touch with Mother Earth. Do some gardening with your hands or at least walk barefoot on sand or mud. Sit in parks or lie on the ground or lawns and relax.

4 Keep an eye on your bowel movement. See to it that your bowels are always functioning normally. Eliminate larger quantities than what you eat.

5 Rest and relax well. Sleep in the earlier part of the night and sleep through the night. Wake up before or with the sun.

6 Be well hydrated. Consume a lot of juicy fruits veggies and greens to hydrate yourself well.

7 Get your body moving, do yoga or participate in any outdoor sport, walk or do some gardening. Moving your body will support the removal of toxins and free flow of vitality

8 Be happy always. Don’t let life’s negativities to bog you down. Always be positive.

Follow these principles and as you go on eliminating toxins and discarding all damaged unhealthy tissues you will start seeing a great change in your overall health. If you have a very tight schedule or busy lifestyle still you can try to incorporate most of these values into your routine. You just need to give your self a couple of hours to sort out your priorities and plan a new routine by integrating the above practices in it.

Thankyou so much 🙏 I will try to incorporate everything you have mentioned. But the issues is continuing the healthy habits. I know it's with my mind. But this time I have decided to loose enough weight to be healthy .. what should be ideal weight for women with age 25 and height 5'3 according to naturopathy

Dr Shruthi .... i would say ... you could concentrate on being healthy enough to shed excess weight naturally. Yes sticking to healhy habits is tough as long as you dont see any results. so just go slowly... observe and keep looking into yourself to see how you feel. Your body will start speking to you the day you decide to listen to it. and then the journey is not as tough and your destination is not any far off. As for the ideal weight ... let your body decide that. your weight will be determined by your bone structure too aling with your height and weight. Just go with how you feel. if you feel fit, energetic, active, happy and clear headed, then you are just perfectly fine

Hello Shruti,

Never skip your breakfast. Have a heavy and healthy breakfast. 
Have plant based raw food in your meals.Include fresh fruits and vegetables, sprouts, beans, nuts in your diet. 

Avoid dairy foods like milk,buttermilk, paneer,butter. 

Avoid tea or coffee and other caffeinated drinks. 
Also avoid any carbonated drinks. 

Don't have white bread, white rice,wheat,white sugar,you can replace them with brown bread, brown rice, barley.

Start your day by having warm lemon water with ginger. 

Exercise regularly and practice yoga.

नमस्ते

 

आज कल के जीवन शैली में खाना क्या खाएँ और खाना कैसे खाएँ ये जानना बहुत ज़रूरी है क्योंकि जो भी कुछ हमलोग खाते हैं वो अगर ठीक से पचा नहीं तो मोटापा  (fat)में बदल जाती हैं।

आइए प्राकृतिक जीवन शैली में हम 5 प्रकार के आहार से अवगत हों।

1 आकाश तत्व- एक खाने से दूसरे खाने के बीच में विराम दें, रोज़ाना 15 घंटे का उपवास करें जैसे रात का भोजन 7 बजे तक कर लिया और सुबह का नाश्ता 9 बजे लें।

2 वायु तत्व- लंबा गहरा स्वाँस अंदर भरें और रुकें। इसके बाद फिर पूरे तरीक़े से स्वाँस को ख़ाली करें रुकें फिर स्वाँस अंदर भरें ये एक चक्र हुआ। ऐसे 10 चक्र एक समय पर करना है। ये दिन में चार

3 अग्नि तत्व- सूर्य उदय के एक घंटे बाद या सूर्य अस्त के एक घंटे पहले का धूप शरीर को ज़रूर लगाएँ। सर और आँख को किसी सूती कपड़े से ढक कर। जब भी लेंटे अपना दायाँ भाग ऊपर करके लेटें ताकि आपका सूर्य नाड़ी सक्रिय रहे।

4 जल तत्व- खाना खाने से एक घंटे पहले नाभि के ऊपर गीला सूती कपड़ा लपेट कर रखें। खाना के 2 घंटे बाद भी ऐसा कर सकते हैं।

मेरुदंड (स्पाइन) सीधा करके बैठें। हमेशा इस बात ध्यान रखें और हफ़्ते में 3 दिन मेरुदंड का स्नान करें। 

5 पृथ्वी- सब्ज़ी, सलाद, फल, मेवे, आपका मुख्य आहार होगा आप सुबह खीरे का जूस लें, खीरा1/2 + धनिया पत्ती पीस लें, 100ml पानी मिला कर पीएँ, 2 घंटे बाद फल नाश्ते में लेना है।

दोपहर में 12 बजे फिर से इसी जूस को लें और इसके एक घंटे बाद खाना खाएँ, शाम को नारियल पानी लें फिर 2 घंटे तक कुछ ना लें।  रात के सलाद में हरे पत्तेदार सब्ज़ी को डालें। ताज़ा नारियल को पीस कर मिलाएँ। 

लाल, हरा, पीला शिमला मिर्च 1/4 हिस्सा हर एक का मिलाएँ। इसे बिना नमक के खाएँ। रात का खाना 8 बजे खाएँ। पृथ्वी तत्व को शरीर में डालने का एक नियम हमेशा याद रखें ठोस (solid) खाने को चबा कर तरल (liquid) बना कर खाएँ। तरल (liquid) को मुँह में घूँट घूँट पीएँ। खाना ज़मीन पर बैठ कर खाएँ। खाते वक़्त ना तो बात करें और ना ही TV और mobile को देखें। ठोस (solid) भोजन के तुरंत बाद या बीच बीच में जूस या पानी ना लें। भोजन हो जाने के एक घंटे बाद तरल पदार्थ (liquid) ले सकते।

दर्द वाले जगह पर धनिया + खीरा का पेस्ट लगाएँ 20 मिनट के लिए। दिन में दो बार तिल के तेल से घड़ी की सीधी दिशा (clockwise) में और घड़ी की उलटी दिशा (anti clockwise)में मालिश करें। नरम हाथों से बिल्कुल भी प्रेशर नहीं देना है।
