Please tell me a good diet for pcod weight loss. Please I need it. Can you help me?

Namaste

Firstly we need to understand why one suffers from PCOD. Our Body eliminates toxins through various channels like the skin, kidneys, lungs etc. For women toxins also get eliminated during mestruation cycles. With a unhealthy lifestyle and food habit theres lot of toxins being produced and accumulated in the body. the speed of elimination is way too slow than accumulation. So whats happenning is the blood, lymphatic system, etc are getting over laden with toxins. And all our glands too are flooded with toxins. In such a state the body can not function normally and eliminate all that is not needed. Thant’s why one gets issues like PCOD, fibroids, etc. As the body tries to collect the toxins in different sacks or cysts to keep the rest of the body safe. Now that you have realised that the cysts are something that you don’t need in your body you may start working on how you can help your body get rid of them.

What are the lifestyle changes that you can make to support the body in its cleansing, healing and normal functioning.

1 Learn pranayam and yoga for relaxing your mind, improving your flexibility and activating your lymphatic system. The breathing works like a pump on your lymphatic system, by helping move the toxins towards the lymph nodes and further move towards elimination.

2 Get good sun exposure either in the early hours of the morning or a couple of hours before sunset. The energy from the sun will help your blood circulation and support in the toxins to move from the blood, lymph etc.

3 Get in touch with Mother Earth. Do some gardening with your hands or atleast walk barefoot on sand or mud. Sit in parks or lie on the ground or lawns and relax. Relaxation is very important for cleansing and healing.

4 Keep an eye on your bowel movement. See to it that your bowels are always functioning normally. Eliminate larger quantities than what you eat.

5 Rest and relax well. Sleep in the earlier part of the night and sleep through the night. Wake up before or with the sun. Most repairs, cleansing and healing happen only when one is in deep sleep.

6 Be well hydrated. Consume lot of juicy fruits veggies and greens to hydrate yourself well.

7 Get some regular physical activity in your daily routine like walking, yoga or swimming in some natural water body.

8 Be happy always. Don’t let life’s negativities to bog you down. Always be positive. Let go of all that doesn’t serve you.

Follow these principles and as you go on eliminating toxins and discarding all damaged unhealthy tissues you will start seeing a great change in your overall health.

Foods to be strictly kept off

1 milk and milk products,meat,eggs fish etc
2 white maida, white sugar, white salt.
3 no packaged and processed foods. No outside food too from restaurants.
4 no baked stuff like toast buiscuits etc
5 no namkeens and sweets from shops

Foods to be included

1 fresh locally grown seasonal fruits 50%
2 fresh vegetables 35%
3 grains 10%
4 soaked nuts 5%


Diet chart


8 am one or two glasses of water with half a lemon squeezed in it
Or
Hibiscus flower lemon grass and tulsi tea with a slice of lemon

9 am green juice dhaniya pudina curry leaves cucumber as base no water grind filter and add pinch of salt and half lemon

10 am fresh seasonal fruit top choice papaya, if not tarbooz or dragon fruit, kharbooja as much as you want till you feel full

1 pm lunch
Lukha fulka with lots of lauki or torai or tinda or beans or gawarfali or balor or tindoli or gilki parwal etc. no or only 1 tsp oil groundnut sesame or coconut oil that too cold pressed . If you want to have daal let it be unseasoned and chilke wali daal one cup. Masoor rajma all ok

4 pm any fruit juice no ice or sugar
Black grapes, carrot or tomato or beet or any fresh fruit ... combos also ok

6 pm dinner
Salad full of fresh vegetables, sprouts and soaked nuts.

You have to cut down all the artificial, Bakery products made with Maida, Sugar, Oil. Stop all the processed, refined foods too. 
Take Fruits 50%, Vegetables 25%, Millet 20%, Nuts 5% in your diet. Consume fruits as a whole, even juice without filtering the fibres. 
Millet being Low glycemic index food it helps to reduce weight and reduces craving for food. 
Maintain for 3-6 months along with Exercise, walking and Yoga practice will surely help you for weight reduction and for PCOD.

Pcod or pcos is a common hormonal disorder with excess androgens (male hormone) causing enlarged ovaries with many cyst on it. Following a healthy plant based diet with some physical fitness activity can help treat it.

 

• Some of the diet that'll help manage your symptoms are food with a low glycemic index such as whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, fruits and other unprocessed natural foods.This foods with low GI can improve your menstrual consistency and keep the insulin level stable.

 

•Replace every other unhealthy fats or oily foods with healthy fats diet which includes unsaturated fats and omega 3 fatty acid-rich food like avocado, olive oil, chia seeds, flax seeds etc. This type of foods are also anti-inflammatory in nature which can ease the symptoms of pcod.

 

• Do not skip your breakfast. Always go for a healthy breakfast and light dinner. Add plenty of whole grains, whole bread, cereals, oats with herbal tea or juice for the breakfast. 

 

• Add one teaspoon of cinnamon powder to a glass of hot water and drink it daily. They helps on insulin resistance and regulates menstruation in women with pcod.

 

• Avoid every forms of maida products such as pastries, cookies, cake, muffins, bread, sugary food items caffeinated drinks, cold beverages, smoking and alcohol.

 

• When pcod is linked with an obesity or overweight, weight loss is regarded as an effective method to reverse the condition. Regular exercises or daily workout will help keep your body fit and active. It'll boost your body metabolic activity and burn out more calories, thereby cutting down your weight. Utilise 45 minutes to and hour daily for your physical fitness.

कारण - पाचन तंत्र के स्वास्थ बिगड़ने पर शरीर में मौजूद संक्रमित जीवाणु (toxin) हार्मोन के संतुलन में दोष पैदा करते है।शरीर के में हार्मोन के संतुलन के बिगड़ने से शरीर का चया पचय (metabolism) का संतुलन बिगड़ जाता है। शरीर को यह ज्ञान है कि ख़ुद को स्वस्थ कैसे रखना है। हम इस बात से अनभिज्ञ हैं। जब हमारी प्राणशक्ति हमें ऊर्जा दे रही होती है तो वह स्वास्थ्य की स्थिति है। जब हमारी प्राण शक्ति हमारे शरीर के अंदर विषाणुओं (toxic) को साफ़ करने में लग जाती है तो वह अस्वस्थ होने की स्थिति होती है।

जीवन शैली - आकाश, वायु, अग्नि, जल, पृथ्वी ये पाँच तत्व आपके शरीर में रोज़ खुराक की तरह जाना चाहिए।

पृथ्वी और शरीर का बनावट एक जैसा 70% पानी से भरा हुआ। पानी जो कि फल, सब्ज़ी से मिलता है।

1 आकाश तत्व- एक खाने से दूसरे खाने के बीच में विराम दें। रोज़ाना 15 घंटे का उपवास करें जैसे रात का भोजन 7 बजे तक कर लिया और सुबह का नाश्ता 9 बजे लें।

2 वायु तत्व- लंबा गहरा स्वाँस अंदर भरें और रुकें फिर पूरे तरीक़े से स्वाँस को ख़ाली करें रुकें फिर स्वाँस अंदर भरें ये एक चक्र हुआ। ऐसे 10 चक्र एक टाइम पर करना है। ये दिन में चार बार करें।I

खुली हवा में बैठें या टहलें।

3 अग्नि तत्व- सूरर्य उदय के एक घंटे बाद या सूर्य अस्त के एक घंटे पहले का धूप शरीर को ज़रूर लगाएँ। सर और आँख को किसी सूती कपड़े से ढक कर। जब भी लेंटे अपना दायाँ भाग ऊपर करके लेटें ताकि आपकी सूर्य नाड़ी सक्रिय रहे।

4 जल तत्व- खाना खाने से एक घंटे पहले नाभि के ऊपर गीला सूती कपड़ा लपेट कर रखें और खाना के 2 घंटे बाद भी ऐसा करना है।

मेरुदंड स्नान के लिए अगर टब ना हो तो एक मोटा तौलिया गीला कर लें बिना निचोरे उसको बिछा लें और अपने मेरुदंड को उस स्थान पर रखें।

मेरुदंड (स्पाइन) सीधा करके बैठें। हमेशा इस बात ध्यान रखें और हफ़्ते में 3 दिन मेरुदंड का स्नान करें। 

5 पृथ्वी- सब्ज़ी, सलाद, फल, मेवे, आपका मुख्य आहार होगा। आप सुबह सफ़ेद पेठे 20ग्राम पीस कर 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। 2 घंटे बाद फल नाश्ते में लेना है।

दोपहर में 12 बजे फिर से इसी जूस को लें। इसके एक घंटे बाद खाना खाएँ।शाम को 5 बजे सफ़ेद पेठे (ashguard) 20 ग्राम पीस कर 100 ml पानी मिला। 2घंटे तक कुछ ना लें। रात के सलाद में हरे पत्तेदार सब्ज़ी को डालें। कच्चा पपीता 50 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। कभी सीताफल ( yellow pumpkin)50 ग्राम ऐसे ही डालें। कभी सफ़ेद पेठा (ashgurad) 30 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। ऐसे ही ज़ूकीनी 50 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। इसी प्रकार हरा गोभी, बंद गोभी, गाजर, चुकन्दर भी कद्दूकस करके डालें। हर दिन मुख्य सब्ज़ी किसी एक की मात्रा अधिक बाँकि सब थोड़ा थोड़ा डालें। ताज़ा नारियल पीस कर मिलाएँ। कभी काजू बादाम अखरोट मूँगफली भिगोए हुए पीस कर मिलाएँ। 

लाल, हरा, पीला शिमला मिर्च 1/4 हिस्सा हर एक का मिलाएँ। इसे बिना नमक के खाएँ। नमक सेंधा ही प्रयोग करें। नमक की मात्रा दोपहर के खाने में भी बहुत कम लें। सब्ज़ी पकने बाद उसमें नमक डालें। नमक पका कर या अधिक खाने से शरीर में (fluid)  की कमी हो जाती है। रात का खाना 8 बजे खाएँ।एक नियम हमेशा याद रखें ठोस (solid) खाने को चबा कर तरल (liquid) बना कर खाएँ। तरल (liquid) को मुँह में घूँट घूँट पीएँ। खाना ज़मीन पर बैठ कर खाएँ। खाते वक़्त ना तो बात करें और ना ही TV और mobile को देखें। ठोस (solid) भोजन के तुरंत बाद या बीच बीच में जूस या पानी ना लें। भोजन हो जाने के एक घंटे बाद तरल पदार्थ (liquid) ले सकते हैं।

ऐसा करने से हाज़मा कभी ख़राब नहीं होगा।

जानवरों से उपलब्ध होने वाले भोजन वर्जित हैं।

तेल, मसाला, और गेहूँ से परहेज़ करेंगे तो अच्छा होगा। चीनी के जगह गुड़ का सेवन करें।

हफ़्ते में एक दिन उपवास करें। शाम तक केवल पानी लें, प्यास लगे तो ही पीएँ। शाम 5 बजे नारियल पानी लें और 2 घंटे बाद सलाद लें।

Pcos is a result of the body malfunctioning due to lifestyle. Once the lifestyle is corrected and back to track, the body gets back to normal too. Whether it was emotional stress or physical stress and wrong food choices, sedentary lifestyle, they all help each other mess the body’s normal functioning. I believe that people who are disciplined can reverse it in few months. But this is a lifestyle and not a diet. Cysts are growths in the body which stores toxins in it. Cysts are at the hardening stage of a disease progression in the body.  If those toxins were roaming freely, it would have caused more damage. It’s hence the way of locking those toxins and virus in a sack. Once a healthy plant based lifestyle is followed, they will melt and be thrown out of the body . 

 

Follow this :-

Morning on empty stomach 

 

  • Celery juice 500 ml filtered / ash gourd juice / cucumber juice/ green juice with any watery vegetable like ashgourd / cucumber / ridge gourd / bottle gourd / carrot / beet with ginger and lime filtered/ tender coconut water or more pure veggie juice 

 

Afternoon from 12 :-  

  • A bowl of fruits - don’t mix melons and other fruits. Eat melons alone. Eat citrus alone 
  • Followed by a bowl of veg salad 
  • Dinner 2-3 hrs before sleep with Gluten free, oilfree unpolished grains or dals 30% and 70% veggies
  • Please take enema for 30 days with Luke warm water and then slowly reduce the freq. this is not a substitute for daily nature call . Consult an expert as needed 
  • Include some exercises that involves moving all your parts ( neck , shoulder, elbows, wrist , hip bending twisting , squats, knees, ankles ) .
  • See if u can go to the morning sun for sometime in a day 30 mins atleast. 
  • Ensure that you are asleep between 10-2 which is when the body needs deep sleep. 
  • Place a wet cloth on your tummy for 30 mins daily

 

What to Avoid :- 

  • Avoid refined oils, fried food , packaged ready to eat foods, dairy in any form including ghee, refined salt and sugar , gluten , refined oils coffee tea alcohol . 
  • Avoid mental stress by not thinking about things you cannot control. Present is inevitable. Future can be planned. Stay happy. Happiness is only inside yourself .
