Hi,

Both your health issues, insulin resistance, and lean PCOS are due to hormonal imbalances in the body. Lifestyle changes would help you overcome both these issues. Before understanding the changes lets briefly look into the hormonal changes and imbalance which is occurring in the body.

Whenever we consume food the body converts it into glucose and the rest is stored in the body as reserves for future use. When there is an imbalance int he body, the pancreas is trying to eliminate the toxic waste and at the same time trying to maintain the sugar levels, it gets too overwhelmed due to either too much toxic build-up or insufficient rest and repair. All this, in turn, will make the levels of sugar become unstable. Similarly, the hormonal levels of the body get out of balance. Let's take a look at that. In mature females, every month the pituitary gland which is located at the base of the brain produces 2 female sex hormones. These hormones work in such a way to create a balance in the body which leads to either fertilization or if not fertilized leads to the monthly menstrual cycle. Estrogen and progesterone are hormones that regulate the menstrual cycle. If there is a hormonal imbalance in the body it leads to PCOS. In this condition, a cyst or an abnormal growth in the uterus develops. This happens when over a period of time, the body is unable to eliminate the toxins from the body and they accumulate and form cysts. The cysts can dissolve when the right lifestyle choices are made.

  • That includes removal of all animal products including dairy, removal of packed and processed, oily and sugary foods. This creates an overload of toxins and disturbs the balance of the body.
  • Include lots of raw vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds. They all contain essential vitamins and minerals for the normal functioning of the body.
  • Avoid excess of teas, coffee. This also triggers the production of cortisol. This, in turn, leads to hormonal imbalances.
  • Exposure to sunshine and proper rest and sleep are also of prime importance. They release happy hormones. And in a relaxed state, the body can repair and heal.
  • Manage stress either by some physical activity or deep breathing. This calms the body down. This helps the body to understand that there is no urgency and it can repair and heal.
  • Adequate sleep. The body repairs and heals during sleep.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS) is a group of conditions that creates an imbalance in a woman's hormone levels. Here in this condition, women produce higher levels of male hormones which might make the women skip the menstrual periods, which is why you would see irregular menstrual periods in women who are suffering from this condition.

This condition is caused by insulin resistance, some genetical history or due to inflammation in the ovaries. Hence you could find the imbalance of the sugar levels.

Symptoms like irregular periods, abnormal hair growth, acne, weight gain, male pattern of baldness, darkening of skin and headaches are common in this condition.

Lifestyle modification and diet along with Yoga therapy could play a vital role in the management of this condition.

A low glycemic index and low carb diet consumption have shown very good results. Some research studies have elicited this fact.

Yoga therapy if taken under a trained Yoga therapist could be beneficial as well. Yoga therapy has really proven effective in this particular condition

Deep, Insulin resistance is a condition that's accompanied sometimes with lean PCOS with a relatively higher than hormone levels. When your GUT is lined with toxic waste, even metabolism is affected. You may have a higher rate of fats in the body but it will not be at the subcutaneous levels but at the visceral levels around the internal organs. This is even more misleading to a normal eye.

PCOS is a result of the body malfunctioning due to lifestyle. Once the lifestyle is corrected and back to track, the body gets back to normal too. Whether it was emotional stress or physical stress and wrong food choices, a sedentary lifestyle, they all help each other mess the body’s normal functioning. I believe that people who are disciplined can reverse it in a few months. But this is a lifestyle and not a diet. Cysts are growths in the body that store toxins in it. Cysts are at the hardening stage of a disease progression in the body. If those toxins were roaming freely, it would have caused more damage. It’s hence the way of locking those toxins and viruses in a sack. Once a healthy plant-based lifestyle is followed, they will melt and be thrown out of the body. Your weight will also come under control once you remove the causes that have caused this imbalance.

Any food you consume gets broken down into glucose. For glucose to be transported to all the 100 trillion cells in your body, you need insulin that's produced in the islets of Langerhans in the pancreas. However, when your cells are already crowded with toxins and fats, the cells close their doors and won't let the glucose in. They say, Mr insulin, I have plenty of fats in me that my ATP of the cells can work on, so thanks I don't need the glucose. So now the glucose starts getting accumulated in your blood because the food you eat has glucose (may it be rice, chapati, dairy, meat, eggs anything ) and the body won't stop making it and cells won't accept it. So who gets to keep it? Your blood. So that's why your blood report says you have diabetes T2 - excess glucose. So what makes this condition go away? Is it the medicines that will make more insulin? No, you need to address the root cause by making those cells open the doors to the glucose. If you do not address these issue's root cause; that is to clean your cells, you will end up taking medicines all your life to reduce the glucose but the cells will continue to be constipated and give you other diabetes-induced problems and this can also affect your future generations.

Due to excess glucose in the blood in cases where toxicity is more due to a sluggish liver, subsequent digestion, the blood gets thicker like a sweet dirty syrup. The heart tries hard to pump viscous blood and the pressure increases/leg related inflammations etc will also happen.

Where there is sugar lying around, yeasts and bad bacteria come to feast on it. Their poop also called neurotoxin will cause more blood toxicity which also means the same junk is carried across the body. So organs also will be inflamed and there are plenty of named medical conditions for the same.

If you are wondering why you and why not your friends who also had the same foods you had, sometimes we inherit weaknesses from generations, toxins, etc. So we end up falling prey to consequences of wrong lifestyles much earlier and the organs max out faster than others. Sooner or later your friends will be in the same bandwagon if they don't correct themselves.

To cut the long story short, you need to avoid all the food that caused this condition in you which are dairy, meat, eggs, fish and oils/unhygienic fats.

Follow this lifestyle going forward and you will be safe all your life. If you are indulging sometimes, it needs to follow some rules. Since your body has a tendency to lock itself up from glucose very soon, you definitely have to pay attention to fats ( oils in foods including tadka ) to a major extent, unrefined sugars from white sugar and avoid wheat, absolutely avoid all animal protein from dairy milk, curd, ghee, butter, cheese, paneer, milk powder. Start reading labels and look for plant-based milks from coconut, almond, peanut curd. Don’t indulge in any vegan butters or cheeses as they may contain refined oils and fats. Fats in the form of cholesterol also comes from animal foods. So your cells are very hateful of those foods. We humans are not designed to have them. You have to absolutely avoid them. Meat and eggs are also on similar lines. Avoid these anywhere you go and over time you will learn to manage even when you go out. Write a comment back to me if you have any doubts. I will answer in detail.

Switch to a whole food plant-based lifestyle with 80% raw all day and with glutenfree oil-free food habits. Have more fruit.

Expose yourself to the sun for 30mins a day mandatorily as suns energy has the healing power.

Exercise daily for 30m-1 hr

Drink enough liquids in a day.
