I have been diagnosed with slipped disc of L5. Doctor has advised this is a life long problem and will need surgery some time or the other. Please suggest the best measures to cure it completely without surgery. Can you help?

Hello User,

The basic pathology behind the slipped disc is inflammation, when the body gets inflammed at our vertebral column. The nerve roots gets sensitive, the disc which is a fibrous pad and helps in absorbing the shock ,the body gets during the trauma slips from its needed place.

This inflammation starts because our body is having problem at the postural level, we are so much in touch with our sedentary lifestyle that our body is not getting needed blood supply due to our bad posture. That is why herniation takes place.

It is both the combination of diet and exercise and achieve a good health.

Eat:

Start the day with two-three glasses of warm water, this will help in flushing out the toxins and improve the state of metabolism by increasing it. The next thing is the inclusion of vegetable juice in your breakfast as this will help in giving the right amount of energy for the day. Keep at least two hours gap between your food and your sleep timing at night. You can also choose to have vegetable juice in your breakfast, it is an easier way to absorb all the nutrients.

  • Take one tablespoon of gond with a glass of warm water in the morning, this will help in increase bones and muscle strength.
  • During evenings after meal, take one inch of ginger with one teaspoon of lmon and one cup of water this will help in treating inflammation.
  • Hot fomentation on the affected area will help in blood vessels to dilate and the blood supply in the area to increase which reduces inflammation.

Exercise:

  • Taking a brisk walk in the early morning sun rays helps in treating all the problems, as the sun helps in treating the mood and freshen us for the whole day, it stimulates our system and strengthens our immunity. Early morning walk is recommended.
  • Even sleeping in the area where there is adequate sun and expose your back for 5-10 minutes from it, this will help in activating the cell and increasing the blood supply in the area.
  • Matsyasana, Setu Bandh Sarvangasana, Kapotasana, perform each pose in the same order by holding for 5-10 seconds. This will hep in strengthening the back.

Meditation:

Stop using the gadget on hour before sleep, you can use a fragrant diffuser where you can use essential oils and then with the smell itself you will start feeling calm. Rosemary and lavender oil will be helpful.

Take 10 long deep breaths, and allow your body to relax, any thought which comes, let it go do not resist. Say the affirmation, "I am healthy and happy" with each breath. This will help in curbing all your issues even in the long run. Even doing it during the episode of anxiety is very helpful.

Going through a deep tissue massage is very helpful in this state as it hastens the process of healing slip disc herniation.

Sleep:

The sleep is a very important part of treating any mental symptom, a sleep cycle of 90 minutes should be completed in order to get a sound body. This sleep cycle should be repeated 5 times. This makes 7-8 hours of healthy sleep. This will make your body and mind strong and refreshing.

Slip discs can heal majorly with a positive diet and full rest. No one must mess with it /massage it.

The intervertebral disc gel leaks from the inside through the hard outer ring. This is called a slipped disc or herniated disc. This causes discomfort and severe pain in any part of the body. This disc puts pressure on the spinal nerves and causes pain, tingling or numbness along that nerve as it acts like a short circuit coming in contact with a liquid. These majorly happen because of calcium leaching making the outer shell of the disc weak. We must allow the body to recover in which proper bending won’t be a problem and stronger bones won’t rupture too.

If high acidic foods (not coming under category of fruits, veggies and greens majorly) are ingested, their ph is less than normal, the stomach does not need to make it acidic to process. The pancreas won’t produce the alkaline buffers to the blood to neutralise the acidity raised by the stomach. So this acidic food in its state reaches the next few levels like the duodenum which are not geared for this ph level and bile from the liver and gallbladder is called to rescue this balance. As this bile continues to be overproduced, the liver becomes tired. If liver and gallbladder are not in a good working condition, enough bile is not made available in the duodenum, and this is how acidic food reaches the intestines. As liver weakens, the body cleaning is also compromised and blood continues to carry acidic toxins that the liver could not manage and have reached the intestines where nutrients get absorbed. Acidity in the blood goes up, the blood first uses of the alkaline buffers present in its blood plasma to bring the blood closer to an alkaline pH. Unfortunately because of the continuous supply of acidic foods to the body, the level of alkaline buffers is often very low. If the blood pH value falls below this range, then all the bodily fluids such as urine, lymphatic fluid, semen, Cerebrospinal fluids, saliva everything starts becoming acidic. This disrupts all the cellular function in the body and disturbs the balance. To prevent such a state of decline, the blood starts reducing its acidity by neutralising it with one of the most alkaline substance in the body that is calcium from the bones. So blood starts dissolving the calcium from the bones in its self to reach an ideal pH level. This is also called leaching of calcium. Blood is a supplier and also a retriever. It will choose parts of the bone where it can leach very quickly such as the ends of the bones. As it continues to do so, that part of the joint weakens that’s producing a pain and inflammation.There will also be severe obstruction of blood flow, the viscosity of blood will be thicker. When the pain is severe:

1) First one week, stay on 3-5 lts of juices and water and rest.

2) Next, consume only fruits and juices all day as and when hungry as many days as ur on rest. If u want to have cooked, have some grainless food like steamed veggies, Channa cooked etc

2) rest for all-day as many days as it needs.

 

For the long term,

Start juicing in the morning till 12 PM. Start your day with half a litre of cucumber juice followed by fruits for next hunger. Do not have any cooked breakfast.

In the afternoon have vegetable salads with greens.

Only for dinner add wholefood plant-based cooked dinner with 30% millets and 70% vegetables cooked without any oil (very important).

Add yoga pranayama as much as possible and improve as health gets better.

Remove dairy, eggs, meat, fish absolutely from ur life on all forms. Remove sugar, fried foods, ready to eat foods from packets etc.

हेलो,

कारण - स्लिप डिस्क की समस्या खराब मुद्रा यानी आसन, अनियमित जीवन शैली और दोषपूर्ण आहार शैली के कारण होता है। चोट लगना, भारी वजन उठाना, ज्यादा देर तक कंप्यूटर के सामने गलत पोस्चर में बैठना, अचानक से झुकना, यह सब मुख्य कारण है।
प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा पद्धति के अनुसार कोई भी रोग जीवन भर के लिए नहीं होता है और जीवनशैली, आहार शैली में परिवर्तन करके स्वास्थ्य लाभ पाया जा सकता है। मूलकारण पर काम करना आवश्यक है वह मूलकारण अस्वस्थ पाचन तंत्र है।

समाधान - गहरे हरे रंग के पत्तों (पालक, मेथी, बथुआ, धनिया के पत्तों) का जूस से फ़ायदा होगा दिन में तीन बार लें।

सूर्य उदय के एक घंटे बाद या सूर्य अस्त के एक घंटे पहले का धूप शरीर को ज़रूर लगाएँ। सर और आँख को किसी सूती कपड़े से ढक कर। जब भी लेंटे अपना दायाँ भाग ऊपर करके लेटें ताकि आपकी सूर्य नाड़ी सक्रिय रहे।

मेरुदंड स्नान के लिए अगर टब ना हो तो एक मोटा तौलिया गीला कर लें बिना निचोरे उसको बिछा लें और अपने मेरुदंड को उस स्थान पर रखें।

मेरुदंड (स्पाइन) सीधा करके बैठें। हमेशा इस बात ध्यान रखें।

मेरुदंड को प्रतिदिन सूर्य स्नान लेट कर करवाएँ।

शलभासन, सेतुबंध आसन, भुजंग आसन, अधोमुख आसन, स्वानआसन करें।

लंबा गहरा स्वाँस अंदर भरें और रुकें। इसके बाद फिर पूरे तरीक़े से स्वाँस को ख़ाली करें, रुकें, फिर स्वाँस अंदर भरें। ये एक चक्र हुआ। ऐसे 10 चक्र एक समय पर करना है। ये दिन में चार बार करें। 

जीवन शैली

1.आकाश तत्व - एक खाने से दुसरे खाने के बीच में अंतराल (gap) रखें।

फल के बाद 3 घंटे, सलाद के बाद 5 घंटे, और पके हुए खाने के बाद 12 घंटे का (gap) रखें।

2.वायु तत्व - प्राणायाम करें, आसन करें। दौड़ लगाएँ।

3. अग्नि - सूर्य की रोशनी लें।

4. जल - अलग अलग तरीक़े का स्नान करें। मेरुदंड स्नान, हिप बाथ, गीले कपड़े की पट्टी से पेट की गले और सर की 20 मिनट के लिए सेक लगाए। 

स्पर्श थरेपी करें। मालिश के ज़रिए भी कर सकते है। नारियल तेल से घड़ी की सीधी दिशा (clockwise) में और घड़ी की उलटी दिशा (anti clockwise)में मालिश करें। नरम हाथों से बिल्कुल भी प्रेशर नहीं दें।

5.पृथ्वी - सुबह खीरा 1/2 भाग धनिया पत्ती (10 ग्राम) पीस लें, 100 ml पानी मिला कर पीएँ। यह juice आप कई प्रकार के ले सकते हैं। पेठे (ashgourd ) का जूस लें और कुछ नहीं लेना है। नारियल पानी भी ले सकते हैं। पालक  पत्ते धो कर पीस कर 100ml पानी डाल पीएँ। दुब घास 25 ग्राम पीस कर छान कर 100 ml पानी में मिला कर पीएँ। कच्चे सब्ज़ी का जूस आपका मुख्य भोजन है। 2 घंटे बाद फल नाश्ते में लेना है। 

फल को चबा कर खाएँ। इसका juice ना लें। फल सूखे फल नाश्ते में लें।

दोपहर के खाने में सलाद नट्स और अंकुरित अनाज के साथ सलाद में हरे पत्तेदार सब्ज़ी को डालें और नारियल पीस कर मिलाएँ। कच्चा पपीता 50 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। कभी सीताफल ( yellow pumpkin)50 ग्राम ऐसे ही डालें। कभी सफ़ेद पेठा (ashgurd) 30 ग्राम कद्दूकस करके डालें। ऐसे ही ज़ूकीनी 50 ग्राम डालें।कद्दूकस करके डालें।कभी काजू बादाम अखरोट मूँगफली भिगोए हुए पीस कर मिलाएँ। 

लाल, हरा, पीला शिमला मिर्च 1/4 हिस्सा हर एक का मिलाएँ। लें। बिना नींबू और नमक के लें। स्वाद के लिए नारियल और herbs मिलाएँ।रात के खाने में इस अनुपात से खाना खाएँ 2 कटोरी सब्ज़ी के साथ 1कटोरी चावल या 1रोटी लेएक बार पका हुआ खाना रात को 7 बजे से पहले लें।

6.सेंधा नमक केवल एक बार पके हुए खाने में लें। जानवरों से उपलब्ध होने वाले भोजन वर्जित हैं। तेल, मसाला, और गेहूँ से परहेज़ करेंगे तो अच्छा होगा। चीनी के जगह गुड़ लें।

7.एक नियम हमेशा याद रखें ठोस (solid) खाने को चबा कर तरल (liquid) बना कर खाएँ। तरल  को मुँह में घूँट घूँट पीएँ। खाना ज़मीन पर बैठ कर खाएँ। खाते वक़्त ना तो बात करें और ना ही TV और mobile को देखें।ठोस  भोजन के तुरंत बाद या बीच बीच में जूस या पानी ना लें। भोजन हो जाने के एक घंटे बाद तरल पदार्थ  ले सकते हैं।

हफ़्ते में एक दिन उपवास करें। शाम तक केवल पानी लें, प्यास लगे तो ही पीएँ। शाम 5 बजे नारियल पानी और रात 8 बजे सलाद लें।

8. उपवास के अगले दिन किसी प्राकृतिक चिकित्सक के देख रेख में टोना लें। जिससे आँत की प्रदाह को शांत किया जा सके। एनिमा किट मँगा लें। यह किट ऑनलाइन मिल जाएगा। इससे 200ml पानी गुदाद्वार से अंदर डालें और प्रेशर आने पर मल त्याग करें। ऐसा दिन में दो बार करना है अगले 21 दिनों के लिए। ये करना है ताकि शरीर में मोजुद विषाणु निष्कासित हो जाये। इसके बाद हफ़्ते में केवल एक बार लेना है उपवास के अगले दिन। टोना का फ़ायदा तभी होगा जब आहार शुद्धि करेंगे।
