Hi, I am suffering from pcos since long time and started following the diet shared over here. I have indulged in food cooked in oil at a friend's house. What should be the next step to detox? Please advice.

To start with we appreciate you to take up the following advices which we all have been giving. Now do not panic, we can definitely help you with detox but relaxing is what you should start with.

The main thing here is, it should be about everything, food, meditation, sleep and exercise which amalgamates for good health.

Eat:

Go for a day's complete fruit detox which is healthy and will keep you light. It is a mono-fruit diet. For a day just consume one type of fruit and give your digestive system a good amount of rest. This will help you in detoxing the best way. During evening have a glass of lemon water to maintain your electrolytes.

The fruit which are recommended for this season is, you can choose orange, papaya, apple or guava. This will help you in reaping benefits. Choose one fruit.

​​Exercise:

  • Pranayam helps in detoxifying the body. Practising it early morning in an area which has good sunlight will help in improving blood circulation.
  • Suryanamaskar, daily 12 sets will help in increasing the blood circulation of your body. Practice this will help in aiding your mind and burn some calories.

Meditation:

In any kind of disease, stress comes complementary to it. But with our assurance and positive attitude, we can treat anything. The best thing to start with is breathing mindfully before sleeping with the help of music to stay positive. In a room take a bowl of water and add two-three drops of orange or lavender essential oil. This will help in soothing you and the aroma will relax you and keep you away from any kind of disease.

Use a 15-minute relaxation technique before sleep by hearing a piece of soothing music and deep breathing will help in relaxing your mind.

A positive attitude will help you to deal with everything in life.

Sleep:

Sleeping for at least 7-8 hours is really helpful in dealing with any problem. Sleep is our body's natural response and helps the body to heal. Sleep relaxes the muscles and strengthens our body. During sleep, our body goes into a repair mechanism where it heals itself.
