How can I cure Xanthelasma? I tried putting garlic paste on my hand first but it became itchy & reddish. How can I apply this on my eyelids. Please please provide authentic cure or advice for this. Is surgery the only solution?

Namaste Neha,
Thank you for sharing your concern with us, it must be challenging for you to deal with it. Xanthelasma is a skin condition where the formation of cholesterol deposits occurs below the skin, most common location is the inner part of the eyelids, which leads to puffy bumps of fats in the eyelids.
Instead of applying garlic paste, you can follow these steps:
1. Take a few cloves of garlic roasted form regularly or add them to your daily diet helps to reduce cholesterol levels in the body.
2. Fenugreek: Overnight-soaked fenugreek is also more beneficial in treating Xanthelasma. Take 1 tsp of Fenugreek seeds and soak overnight in a glass of water. Drink the water on an empty stomach. It helps to ensure absorption and lower the bad cholesterol in the body by improving metabolism.
3. Massaging the affected areas using castor oil with little pressure also helps to reduce the bumps. Rhinoleic acid present in castor oil helps to shrink the fat deposited below the eyelids.
4. Citrus Fruits: Consume more citrus fruits like lemon, oranges, etc. Citrus fruits prevent excess LDL deposits in the body.
