UTI also is an inflammation of the urinary tract when there is a lot of acidity. When does such things happen ? When our body is toxic with diary, meat and processed goods for a long period. When we don’t drink enough water, when we don’t tend to pass urine freq , color  is urine slowly turns yellow, smells slowly like bcomplex tablets and overtime it’s really having a bad odour. When body is filled with toxins and waste is not getting disposed off properly this happens.

This is what I suggest bcoz I have helped a very severe case of uti who was suffering for more than a year.  I assume you might also be getting constipated now and then or have leg pains. Having fruits in future will help you.

Kindly stay on tender coconut, vegetable juices,  barley soaked water , cranberry juice ( you get organic frozen cranberries that don’t have sugar ) . Kindly be on this for 1 week. If you want to eat something, please eat only fruits. If you want something hot, drink hot water that’s infused with lime ginger cinnamon and cardamom. Load yourself with these only .

You might see the symptoms, continue the liquids for one week or more if needed. With this the bacteria will be flushed out naturally and the body will restore back. Remember that not all toxins would have gone even if your symptoms have gone. Then onwards you have to maintain as below.

To avoid this in future, avoid all diary meat. Veg juices and greens till 12, fruits only next, vegetable seeds and nuts salad , night 30% grains and 70% veggies steamed as a lifestyle.  No packaged ready to eat junk, eat a whole food plant based diet. No refined oils. No white sugar or brown or any fancy sugars. Just dates or moderate amount of jaggery occasionally.

Also remember that if you are emotionally disturbed in any way, remove that. Practice gratitude and forgiveness. It’s best for your body. Show love to your body while it heals. Trust that this will work.

Be blessed

Smitha, why are you suggesting greens and veg juice before 12:00? Why not fruits?

Asha .. I am trying to ensure almost no digestion before 12. Slowly it’s best to fast and have fruits for lunch. In cases of UTI fluids are more imp to flush more than anything else

Go on a raw diet for next 2 weeks, this will help your body restore its Ph balance. UTI exists only if the Ph is disturbed.

Have only fruits till 12 noon. Have them as-is or make smoothies or juices. Don't worry that you will feel hungry. Have as many as satiate ur hunger. have multiple servings if need be. focus on eating only seasonal fruits. these days oranges are good. have orange juice once for breakfast & once in evening, minimum. make interesting combos with pineapple, strawberries, anaar.

Veggie juice at noon - seasonal veggies - have 2 glasses everyday. one at noon & one in evening around 7 pm. Carrots are in season these days. Have carrot juice with other veggie combos. Add raw amla to your juice. Can also add raw haldi or ginger.

Lunch & dinner - Raw veggie salad followed by veggie soup or cooked meal. Aim for more of raw & less of cooked, atleast 50% raw. In cooked meal, avoid wheat.

Look in recipes section for ideas.

Coconut water - Have twice a day.

Raisins - Start your day with soaked raisins, they are highly alkaline foods.

Avoid acidic foods - Atleast for 2 weeks, go off dairy, wheat, tea, coffee, refined oil, white sugar, white salt, non veg, alcohol, outside food.

Hello Surbhi,

Thanks for your question,

UTI is an uncomfortable infection, and it is caused due to the bacteria E.Coli, however, the best remedy to treat UTI is using organic coconut oil ..you can apply organic coconut oil with a little organic turmeric to the affected area. Both Coconut oil and turmeric have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.

The application of should be twice a day..before going to sleep and first thing in the morning.

Kindly keep the area dry by using napkin everyone you use the restroom.

Regards

Hello. Let's step back to first understand why UTI happens & what is body's role.

1. UTI happens when unwanted germs are able to grow in the urinary tract.

2. Nature has bestowed our body a marvellous self-healing mechanism. If there is something unwanted in the body, our body is programmed to remove it. Hence, if there is infection, body will fight it out.

So why is your UTI recurring? Because something is obstructing body's function.

What's that? - Can be various reasons. I'll state a few, you can see which ones are applicable to you -

1. Un-natural foods which are acidic & heavy to digest. An acidic body is a base for infections. Heavy to digest foods mean body is spending more time on digestion & getting less time to fight the infection.

2. Stress / negative thoughts - They produce acid in body.

3. Lack of movement / exercise - leads to poor blood circulation. Blood carries nutrients to all cells in body & carries waste material back from cells to excretory organs. If waste material is not removed from body, it makes body a breeding ground for infections. Imagine a garbage dump attracting flies!!

4. Lack of sleep / rest - When you sleep, body can focus on fighting your infection.

What should you do? - The answer lies in the above :-). Sorry, I won't be able to give you any quick fixes to your problem. I'm sure you would have already tried all of those. Once you understand that body is on your side & you just need to help it help you, you can do changes based on the above & see long term results.

What I have understood is that for UTI, like for most other health problems firststep is working towards making your internal environment alkaline. For that try to make the required changes in your eating habits - eat lots of raw and less cooked food, avoid spicy/oily/fried foods, incorporate fruits/juices/smoothies in your daily intake. Processed foods and dairy should, in any case, be avoided!

Other than these changes, two things that I would highly recommend - amla juice / lemon infused water on an empty stomach and coconut water.
