Hi, I am Imamul, 24 year old and allergic to cold and throat congestion since long time. In the morning when I brush my teeth, it feels like vomiting and choking and to avoid choking and vomiting I spit and cough a lot. During day time when I have my lunch or dinner I feel the same thing as in the morning. When I try for gargle I feels like same vomiting. Right now I am using honey and mulethi paste at night. Kindly help me.

Please drink warm water. Avoid cucumber, coconut water, onion, potato, rice, curd, milk.Tthese things make allergic reaction in throat.

Hello Imamul,

Allergies result from the effect of our external environment, using chemical-based products and wrong eating habits. Our body gives an inflammatory reaction to the things which are not suitable for our body. This also affects our immunity levels.

Diet

  • Eat only plant-based products in your diet.
  • Avoid dairy products and animal foods as they are not meant for the human digestive system and may result in allergic reactions. 
  • Avoid processed, packaged, and preserved foods. 
  • Drink Vitamin C rich drinks as they have antioxidant properties. Drink lemon juice or orange juice or amla juice. 
  • Avoid refined grains. In place of refined grains, have whole grains like barley, millets, oats, etc.
  • Use cold-pressed oil for cooking instead of refined oils. 
  • Drink plenty of water during the day to eliminate the toxins out of the body. 

Yoga

Practicing yoga regularly will help to improve blood circulation and also helps in uplifting the immunity.

  • Do suryanamaskar regularly. 
  • Practice tada asana, padahasta asana, trikona asana. 
  • Do pranayam regularly, specially anulom-vilom and bhastrika pranayam. 
  • Take sunrays early in the morning daily. 

Sleep

Sleeping is important for immunity as our body produces and secretes proteins while we sleep which helps to fight against various infections. So, take proper sleep of at least 7-8 hours daily. Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning.
