Hello User,

Tuberculosis is an infectious bacterial disease which spreads from one person to another through the tiny droplets released in the air via sneezes or coughing. Tuberculosis mostly affects the lungs but it may also affect other parts including kidney, liver, spine or brain.
A good immune system is important to fight against such infections. For this, a good lifestyle, correct eating habits and sleeping pattern are essential.

Diet

  • Eat soaked raisins and dry fruits in your diet. This will help to provide the body with easily absorbable nutrients.
  • Have fresh fruits like banana, pomegranate, papaya and also have fresh, seasonal and locally available green leafy vegetables.
  • Drink plenty of water during the day.
  • Drink almond milk.
  • Have sprouts, nuts and beans.

Foods to avoid-

  • Avoid tea and coffee.
  • Avoid dairy products and animal foods.
  • Avoid carbonated drinks.
  • Avoid processed, packaged, preserved, oily and spicy foods.

Yoga

Yoga helps to improve the blood circulation and immunity of the body.

  • Do 12 sets of suryanamaskar daily.
  • Perform anulom-vilom and kapalbhati pranayam.
  • Do paschimottan asana, gomukha asana, trikona asana and padahasta asana.

Sleep

Sleeping timings are important as it helps to maintain the circadian rhythm. Our body produces and releases proteins that help to fight against the infections. So, take proper sleep of at least 7-8hours daily.

Sleep early at night and also wake up early in the morning.

Thank you

Hello User,

Tuberculosis weakens immunity and when it comes to the respiratory system it almost makes it difficult for the oxygen to get absorbed in the body in order to heal from it. Hence, the best thing you can do is consult our forum and get an individual diet and regime in your state.

You can start with some simple measures till then which will help you to improve your status, though an expert's advice is needed.

Starting your day with something light in nature and easy to digest is what your breakfast should be. Even the early morning ritual should include consumption of two-three glasses of warm water will help in flushing out all the toxins.

  1. Including a fiber-rich food item that helps in adding bulk to the stools, for example having apples, bananas, nuts, etc. which have a good amount of fiber in them.
  2. Have one Vitamin C rich food to improve immunity.
  3. During evening time, take an inch of ginger and boil in two cups of water with half a teaspoon of turmeric and honey, this will help in beating inflammation caused by tuberculosis

Exercise:

  • Breathing exercises help to improve lung vital capacity.
  • A brisk walk in the early morning sun from 30-45 minutes helps in treating your body to its level best.

With proper diet and regime, you will surely heal in a good manner.

Hopefully, the suggestion was helpful,

Thank you.
